   True, however the deal is still better than the Frog deal for many reasons.

   It’s not that it’s (allegedly) cheaper but that it will result in a better capability and perhaps best of all, it has introduced nuclear power to Australia without having to go through endless public committees and enquiries. Completely out of character, the government has been decisive. Good to see.

   Milley of course, should be shot.

   Milley, shouldn’t just be fired. He should be indicted and tried. The worrisome thing about all this is that the reason it may have come out is to demonstrate that nothing will happen to Milley.

   Then charged with treason and after being found guilty, shot.

    I was hoping for a reason or even a definition of traitor but alas nothing.

    Let us assume the book is correct and that is a big if.
    first of all his loyalty is to the office not the man or woman. Dictators and wannabes always rely on loyalty to the man and uneducated appear to lap it up.
    Secondly there were people in the room when the telephone call was made.

    Milley faced a potential rogue act from a wildly erratic and mentally unstable man.
    Milley assured China such an order would not be acted on. This was his dduty.

    This is not dissimilar to what James Schlesinger did when Nixon was at the end of his tether when he told the Military only act on his orders not nixon’s.
