A federal political staffer has been charged with two counts of rape, over an incident alleged to have taken place in April this year.
Alexander Matters, 20, who works for ACT federal Labor MP David Smith, was arrested yesterday, after a complaint was received by police last month.
Mr Matters was formally charged with two counts of rape in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning, over an alleged incident in April.
The court heard he is also a second-year law student at the Australian National University (ANU).
April, August, September. The ladies are certainly taking their time. 2 counts of wape over 1 incident? Hope the evidence is more than a statement.
Future leader of the Liars Party.
I will wait until I see the outcome of the case. I will never accept accusation in face value. Certainly not anymore.
Interesting, though, isn’t it that Mr Matters hasn’t been the subject of a Four Corners, three 7.30 Reports and a women’s march in Canberra?
