I have no words.
The words you haven’t got are Scott and Morrison and what and do and you and expect.
You would hope that it’s mostly food aid for general population distribution, and not going to increase any Taliban military capability … admittedly the Taliban have plenty of equipment already … possibly some of it better than what Australia has.
I do accept that Australia’s foreign aid budget can be an unfathomable slush fund at times … but I doubt that they actually hand over cash directly.
And much like so many 3rd world aid projects, none of it will make the bank accounts of those that need it.
But there will be plenty of offshore and hawala accounts that will be looking very healthy in the near future…
