SBS’ headline for their very brief coverage of this was, ironically, ‘POLICE PRESENCE’. The police were the only people present. In the absence of any visual drama, their footage resorted to time-lapse video of a couple of hundred people milling about aimlessly. As efforts go to dress up a nothing as a something, it was Pravda-worthy. I’ve been to school fetes that were edgier.
