    Predictable; just following Judas Morrison.
    Is Vikki available for comment?
Conservatism is dead in this country.

Does anyone think that Clive Palmer is worth considering?

Asking for a very desperate friend … who is staring blankly at the wall and shit out of options. Not that, you know, voting ever solved anything … but I want to offer the guy some glimmer of hope.

  5. Entropy says:

    Liberal democrats in the senate.
    Don’t touch Palmer. Just don’t.

  6. Entropy says:

The only reason to vote LNP back into office is the nuke subs.

Does anyone think that Clive Palmer is worth considering?

The big fella is looking good at the minute. Has the record of a complete spiv but he’s fighting hard against the medical facism. Plus he’s been got a record of taking on the Chicoms. Maybe he’s the right man at the right time.

  8. Biggs says:

    Sigh. They had one job.

The only reason to vote LNP back into office is the nuke subs.

Just getting rid of the Froggie Tadpoles is enough.

  10. Not Trampis says:

Regional Australia are the big winners from achieving net zero as four no five analyses have shown.
That some wanted nuclear power which would take 15 years to build and then cost $120/Mhw when solar has smashed through the $40 barrier and is headed to $30 a level not seen since the 60s tells you all you need to know about them.

  11. Boambee John says:

    Non Compos Mentis

when solar has smashed through the $40 barrier and is headed to $30 a level not seen since the 60s tells you all you need to know about them.

People not of sound mind tend to believe anything.

Have you worked out yet what negative externalities apply to solar and wind? At both ends of the process? Or are you just a paid shill? Do subsidies count as negative externalities, or just as bonuses for shills?

  12. Not Trampis says:

wow one of the deplorables has no answer to actual figurers and resorts to what exactly.

In other words he has no idea of costs of anything. Typical of deplorables. Proudly ignorant on anything.

  13. Rex Anger says:

    Lolwut, Paxton?

  14. Tel says:

    Liberal democrats in the senate.

Might win one seat, and good luck to them if they do … but what’s that going to achieve?

Just getting rid of the Froggie Tadpoles is enough.

They belatedly fixed up the problem that they themselves caused in the first place.

Worth half a point at best.

  15. Boambee John says:

Non Compos Mentis doesn’t know the difference between propaganda and reality.

Or he is a paid propagandist.

  16. Boambee John says:

If Non Compos Mentis is not a paid propagandist, he/she/xe would provide a source for the figures.

  17. Not Trampis says:

    look ,

There has been what 4 papers from the private sector and now one from Treasury all saying the shame thing.
If you are so stupid or bone lazy not to either understand them ot do not want to read them than it says it all.

Deplorables somewhat proud of their utter ignorance.

  18. Boambee John says:

    Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

Non Compos Mentis believes modelling! Including Treasury modelling. Have I got a bridge to sell he/she/xe.

Anyone so idiotic as to believe that the output of modelling reflects anything other than the assumptions of the modeller is less than an idiot. And Treasury has staked what little remains of its formerly good reputation on Ruinables., as has the BCA, and probably the authors of the other trash papers.

PS, do call me about the bridge. I accept Bitcoin in payment.

  19. Biggs says:

So Australia is stuck with net zero so Keith Pitt could get into Cabinet.
Anyone who’s spent any time up on the hill knows Cabinet has not functioned as a forum for genuine debate for at least 5 years. They circulate ‘placemats’ and give PowerPoint presentations for most agenda items these days.
