The First Two

Speaking about booster jabs, Boris Johnson called for all Britons to get their booster “as soon as you’re offered it”.

“It’s a very important message. I think people don’t quite realise that the first two jabs do start to wane.

“There is a waning effect on the first two, so people who are double vaccinated can experience a waning effect in their immunity.

“How sad, how tragic it would be if people who had other complications other compromises in their health got seriously ill because they were overconfident about their level of immunity and didn’t get their booster when they needed it.

“So please, please, please can everybody get their boosters.”

the covid shots appear to be like the flu shots but a lot more effective.

without them ICUs would fil up. you cannot easily expand them as each patient needs three nurses and they are highly skilled.

covid does crowd out other diseases.

    ROFLMAO!

covid does crowd out other diseases.

Science! Kung Flu kills other viruses!

You really are around the bend.

  6. Not Trampis says:

How does covid crowd out other diseases?
not hard more people are in hospital because of that. They need ICU wards which I have already stated have highly skilled nurses to help patients. The nurses are one to one with patients so three are needed one for each shift.
to give but one example good luck in having a heart attack if covid patients are making up most of the wards.

Most people can understand this but not all apparently.

ROFLMAO! It took you two hours to make up that babble to explain away your original intellectually sloppy comment? Perhaps put a bit more effort into your sentence construction and punctuation, you might also pick up on the sloppiness before you hit the Post Comment button.

I pity any student subject to your less than competent efforts at helping them to learn anything at all.

    PS,

if covid patients are making up most of the wards

Making or or taking up? What is the total hospital bed capacity of Australia, how many COVID patients are there in hospital? How does that number compare to a normal flu season? Research and think before making a fool of yourself. Better still, remain mute.

Every one of your comments could just be written: “I’m old and other people could be taking up a bed I might need for myself”

  9. Not Trampis says:

it seems most people have no idea of what occurred in the UK.

covid crowded out other patients. It easily killed more than in a flu season.

given social; distancing and employers not allowing anyone with a sniffle to go to work the flu season may never come back.

If you have any problems with the heart, lungs or kidneys you would be lucky to get a bed when covid is allowed to be lived with. Ordibary patients cannot be in those wards and specialists have to take care of the patients.

The NHS in the UK is notoriously incompetent. It is over-managed, slow to react, but is treated with some kind of religious veneration for no good reason.

Try again to answer my questions.

What is the total hospital bed capacity of Australia, how many COVID patients are there in hospital?

I’d like to see his spin on Dictator Dan’s promise last year of 4,000 extra ICU beds for Victoria (it’s on film and irrefutable), a promise which the liar now claims he never made.

  12. Tel says:

… how many COVID patients are there in hospital?

These were collected from various state government reports.

    https://covidbaseau.com/hospitalisations/

Peak in NSW was about 1300 hospitalized (back in September), peak in Victoria (from late October) was about 800.

Total deaths for 2021 in Victoria have been about 300 so far, and in NSW only 180 so far in 2021. Therefore NSW put more people in hospital, but killed fewer … something to think about … possibly NSW nurses are more competent in doing what they are supposed to do which is treating people and making them better.

At any rate, seems unlikely that 1300 COVID patients in NSW would be sufficient to swamp the entire hospital system.

  13. Boambee John says:

Re the UK NHS, Non Compos Mentis might familiarise himself with the Yes Prime Minister episode on it. Not flattering!

  14. Chris M says:

Total deaths for 2021 in Victoria have been about 300 so far, and in NSW only 180 so far in 2021.

Even the current TGA listed post-vaccine deaths at 692 are higher than the disease with our below average health management*. Who knows what the real figure might be.

*Covid deaths of hospitalised patients per 1000 in AU are higher than in most other western countries.

    Number 4 looks a certainty.

    Good price as well!

NSW says you will have to have a booster and it will only be Pfizer. No bloody way is that stuff going in my body
