  1. Lee says:

Labor are all in favour of investigation into possible government corruption.
Unless it’s one of their own – as in Victoria – then they won’t have a bar of it.

  2. Not Trampis says:

How is it a leftist campaign to want a federal ICAC. CL’s nose is growing yet again.

Most legal organisations support it as do a host of ex judges

Your second sentence answers your question in your first sentence.

Still no withdrawal of your baseless accusations against me, and no apology for them?

  4. Entropy says:

At the federal level an ICAC has not been needed, as in the past services and things like property and development approvals were handled by State Governments.
With the constant expansion of the role of the federal government, perhaps there is more of a case.

Of course a far better solution would be the reversal of that trend, and the repeal of appalling duplication like the EPBC Act, and there are many more examples of that, the latest being disaster management. The feds don’t know what they don’t know. Let the feds concentrate of foreign affairs, defence and trade.

  5. cuckoo says:

Whatever one thinks of Pauline Hanson, it’s remarkable how many times she’s been laughed off, written off and even jailed, but year after year she just keeps going. Mostly because she actually believes in something.

  6. Not Trampis says:

saying legal organisations are leftist organisations is so monumentally stupid it is hard to know where to start.
It is about combatting corruption like paying way over the odds for property for example. Sports rorts or car parking rorts anyone.

  7. Boambee John says:

    Non Compos Mentis

You mention sports rorts. Brings back memories of whiteboards. And don’t forget Red Shirt rorts – having an IBAC in Victoria really helped there didn’t it?

Interesting that you seem deluded enough to think that legal organisations have been immune to the “long march through the institutions”. Naive much? Or just so far to the fascist left that you think it is all good? My point about IBAC in Victoria applies.

Now about your evidence that I never attended university, and indeed did not even finish primary school? I’m sure you are just itching to post it here. Or you could just man up, withdraw, and apologise.

  8. Shy Ted says:

We need an period without any gummint. Thing’s will get back to what they should be quickly if we do.

  9. Not Trampis says:

My evidence is your fact free and extremely ignorant rantings.

Scoring another own goal again. Are you trying to beat JC?

IBAC is shining a light on what exactly and how is that a bad thing.

We now know you are no conservative though.

  10. Boambee John says:

My evidence is your fact free and extremely ignorant rantings.

But enough about your rantings, where is your actual, real, documentary evidence? All you have offered so far is anti-intellectual prejudice and judgementalism.

Actually, IBAC managed not to shine any light on the Red Shirts affair. If you were better informed (or even informed at all), you would know that. That was the bad thing.

  11. Morsie says:

AS a lawyer I can confirm that all legal organizations are leftist.$0 years or so of indoctrination has worked.
The default position for the legal profession is soft left.

  12. Ed Case says:

Whatever one thinks of Pauline Hanson, … she actually believes in something.

Yeah, the problem is she hasn’t let anyone else in on the secret.

  13. Rex Anger says:

Yeah, the problem is she hasn’t let anyone else in on the secret.

    Spack off, Grigory.
