IF you can’t find a genuine expert, somebody from the University of South Australia will have to do. Earlier this month, the ABC troll-commissioned Professor Adrian Esterman to tart up fear of the unvaccinated as rational. This called for the ‘do yourself a favour’ brio of Molly Meldrum and the make-up skills of the late Jeanne Little but Esterman was not deterred. He insisted – with no evidence – that the unvaxxed would be a danger to everyone at your Christmas lunch. Regardless of the global mental health catastrophe caused by oddball autists in the epidemiology ‘profession’ and the known risk of addiction relapse and suicide among vulnerable people during the holiday season, Esterman incited the ‘vaccinated’ to ostracise those of their intimates remaining unclean. “I would say, look, we’ve been friends for 20 years, but unless you have been vaccinated I’m not willing to have you in my home,” he unctuously thundered.
Astute news surfers will have noticed that covid neurotics are bobby soxers for Omicron. The ABC especially is screaming for the Big O, positively willing it to finally kill somebody so the emergency – and, more importantly, the laptopper Shangri-La of the past twenty months – can go on forever. Because the national broadcaster is also eager for things to worsen in New South Wales, it follows that the aforementioned Professor Esterman was called in again – this time to reassure pandemic fans that the Liberal-ruled northern neighbour of Dear Daniel was heading for a new spike. What interested me was his subtly changed tune.

– 2GB health fanatic Mark Levy this morning
Ten days ago, the excitable professor was encouraging people (more or less) to pelt plum puddings at unvaccinated kin well before they sashayed merrily down a decked hall to a tinsel-strewn table. Esterman now says “very high levels of vaccinations…won’t be sufficient” to protect society. “And that means we do have to retain our public health measures, not relax them.” Strictly speaking, you should therefore cancel Yuletide cheer altogether because endangering this crisis with unimpeded normality is not worth the risk. The most illustrative thing about Omicron is how ‘experts’ continue to claim they know very little about it – apart from the fact that it’s harmless. Why? Because unlike officials (and adults) in times past, reassuring the public is these days seen as the ‘wrong message’ and possibly even right-wing. The latest variation in public ‘health’ propaganda – the final one for 2021 – is a two-pronged, symbiotic coping strategy: you must get vaccinated plus vaccination isn’t enough. The former yields the dividend of demonisation: it’s all the fault of the unvaxxed. The fruit of the latter is a fear-filled stasis that protects and sustains profitable emergency.
Meanwhile, in Queensland, new Chief Health Officer, John Gerrard, is proving himself to be even more of a Labor government loyalist than his predecessor, Jeannette Young. Yesterday, he gave a masterclass in the new symbiosis – whose actuating principle W.C. Fields would have recognised: if you can’t dazzle them with ’demiology, baffle them with bullshit:
Vaccinated Queenslanders are being reassured they will not be struck down by Covid-19.
On his first day as Queensland’s Chief Health Officer, John Gerrard said vaccinated patients would either have no symptoms or would simply experience a mild cold.
Dr Gerrard said Queensland’s focus would now be less on individual cases and more about trends and monitoring the number of cases in the community and in our hospitals.
“Most patients, the vast majority of people with Covid-19 in the future, will be managed at home, we have systems set up now to start managing patients at home,” he said.
Amazing fact: totally unvaccinated Queenslanders will almost certainly not be “struck down” either and will have no symptoms or a cold. That has been true ab initio and remains the official advice of the WHO. That hasn’t stopped the Palaszczuk Labor government’s perfectly named Small Business Minister, Di Farmer, from double-daring stores to proscribe the unvaccinated. “There will also be a range of other businesses who may make the choice to only have their vaccinated staff and patrons using their business,” she said. Nothing demonstrates better the total moral collapse of this nation. The Labor Party was formed in Barcaldine by shearers fearful of being deprived of a living by harsh pastoralists during the depression of the 1890s. Their scab heirs want men of commerce to ban the vulnerable from buying food.
Down came the troopers, one, two, and three.
“Whose is that jumbuck stowed in your tucker bag?
You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda, with me.”
The biggest factor contributing to Levy’s feared clash with covid will be his immense girth, not whether others have been pre-stabbed (to save them, of course).
Best thing he could do to prevent an untimely visit to the ICU would be to lay off the cakes and pies, instead of needlessly attempting to demonise and scapegoat people that present absolutely no threat to his health whatsoever.
Then why are you so scared of, and running a fear campaign against the unvaxxed, moron?
Great work as usual, CL. Thanks. A lot of people are coming around to the idea that Omicron is a blessing. A mild version that will likely confer long term immunity to the virus, rather than the brief protection from the leaky vaccines. Maybe we will be having Omicron parties?

Notice the Summary on page one:-
Remember the original promise “vaccines make free” … now they break their promises just like that and shrug. I’m starting to think that little butcher’s shop down near the camp gates never actually sells any meat … wonder how long it takes for the average Australian to figure that out.
You know what’s weird? Most of the Germans are getting sucked in by the same tricks, and you would think if any group of people should understand … it would be the Germans, and yet they stand up to attention and click their heels with chins held high. This is an interesting podcast if you have some time to hang around and listen.

A lot of these petty tyrants are scared of the relaxation of restrictions. They know they will be proved wrong and lose their credibility. Not that that would stop the ABC hiring them, but there might be a few less dinner parties.
Bojo in UK parliament said “sadly we’ve had a death “with omicron”.
MSM here has already changed” with” to
“from”. Didn’t take long.
Fear mongering arseholes
The first time I went to the Qld Gold Coast I found out that spray planes were pumping out DDT to kill mosquitoes because the place had been a swamp.
Why don’t we load the vaccine into spray planes to fly over Australian cities and spread it everywhere to wrestle that air borne bug to the ground?
LOL… because you can only get covid via an injection.
I don’t know why anyone believes a word from the MSM these days on anything remotely contentious or controversial.
Deliberately changing words like that in a quote is clearly meant to mislead the public.
Talking with my colleagues (all under 30) the amount of change in their attitudes as the year drags on has been immense. I don’t think any of them will end up being triple jabbinated
There’s a thing that the boy scouts say … “Jab Jab Jab, Job Job Job”.
Voluntary! Consent!!
Back in the good ole days the government would simply experiment on black people and no one said nuttin.
https://news.stlpublicradio.org/arts/2021-11-11/survivors-of-cold-war-era-experiments-on-black-st-louisans-speak-out-in-documentary
Now they wonder why the next generation of black people have gone all suspicious like and don’t trust their betters (i.e. health officials) to tell them what to do. Heck, this problem is so bad they started experimenting on white people now … sheet!
Am listening to the Clifton Duncan podcast now, Tel, thanks.
goes with their Magic Pudding economy
Yep. Can’t blame African-Americans for being a tad distrustful of Uncle Sam.
Related: I was taken aback last week while listening to some ‘expert’ being interviewed on ABC radio as I drove. Asked about the safety of vaccinating children, he assured the hostess that ‘x million children have been vaccinated in the US without incident.’ In other words, that was – and is – an experiment.
Lee did you know the Bible speak about the rise of the MSM in the last days? It is called ‘The false prophet’.
CL please check this article and see if your blood pressure doesn’t rise!
Yes, Lee – they’ve invented “post-pandemic stress disorder” to cover up the damage vaccines have caused to tens of millions – if not, hundreds of millions – of hearts.
A good listen. Always been disgusted at the lack of protests from the arts and entertainment industry. They’ve been annihilated, and I’d wager have a high suicide rate.
That would be the same bloke regularly interviewed on Sky news . Dear me can’t even get a sledge right.
Who is more likely to get covid at a statistically significant level. Same for going to hospitals, ICUs and deaths.
Alas for the innumerate CL it is the unvaxxed. It was always going to be so and it is in any country.
He and others appear not to be worried about people who die from covid simply because they are too stupid to be vaxxed.
Levy was right. Covid crowds out everything else when it is at its peak or going there. Some specialists in NSW had to serve once a week in Covid ICU wards. If you had a heart attack then good luck is bbut one example.
Hooray for you Currency Lad- my first port of call for common sense and barbed hilarity first thing in the morning. Sometimes these fools start to wear me down with their never ending browbeating and BS but then a dose of CL picks me up and I march out into the world again, determined to Hold the Line!!
Non Compos Mentis

So, appearing on Sky News makes him a genius? Some people listen to the message and make a judgement.
Who is more likely to get covid at a statistically significant level. Same for going to hospitals, ICUs and deaths.
Perhaps you might offer some data? And put a question mark at the end of the first sentence?
Covid crowds out everything else when it is at its peak or going there. Some specialists in NSW had to serve once a week in Covid ICU wards.
No evidence, as usual, just simple assertion. Do you think that the hospital problem might be affected by staff resigning rather than being vaxxed?
Homer is the classic example of the “proof by assertion” proponent.

It starts with the unvaxxed.
Can we look forward to the overweight (not necessarily obese) being de-prioritised since the might be more prone to complications? Like vaccination, they have presumably had lifestyle choices. I am sure they already bristle at the thought of a smoker being granted access to a ventilator.
If we are to continue the pretense that it is sensible statistics then your DNA might reveal a particular susceptibility to conditions not yet manifest, or predispositions to sicknesses like cancer – someone likely to outlive another ought to be prioritised. But then it need not be restricted to genetics. The young have m0re life ahead of them than the old. The wealthy can afford to contribute more while the poor will be a drain – one dead poor person could mean to surviving rich people.
Out 0f all the above, would Mr Levy like to take his chances? He is a touch on the oblate side, and no spring chicken either.
I wonder if he has tried to verify what he has heard about these stricken unvaxxed and their locust-like descent on hospital wards to strip them of sheets, machines, and nurses before moving on, leaving a barren wasteland behind with denuded bed frames like skeletons and the caster scored tiles surrounded by limp scattered cables where a machine was uprooted.
If Covid has a pompous variant, I think it will be a cinch to find patient zero.
My pronouns are a mess. Other people composing on the fly seem not to have this problem.
I wonder if I can get victim money?
Memo to QLD CHO, you definitely can be very ill albeit vaccinated. I have two children & their families living in the UK. Adults vaccinated, one has had a booster. Any guess as to who was the sickest & is still struggling.
All had a number of days where they were too tired to get out of the bed, and when they managed to do that were extremely lethargic.
Our four grandchildren caught coronavirus as well. A couple of days with high temperatures, followed by a few more days feeling unwell was their lot.
We are soo frightened for our children, we have approved an experimental cocktail for them, just to save us silly old buggers. I thought our duty was to them, not the opposite. The word is evil.
Good to see you back under your own banner C.L.
how many people died from covid in Aust?
Trampis … the logic suit can never trumps in the deck you’re dealing from can it mate
Love your work CL
Many thanks 🙏
