It is stating the bleeding obvious, but they were given one job, and they did that job … which is a fraction more than you can say for some government departments.
Covid lockdowns also heavily favoured billionaires and big corporations.
Not small and medium size business and the lesser-off.
Rely on real time observation.
And I like the ABS.
When I was in Canberra, all those years ago, used to meet some of them while we played with predicting Futures Markets.

Some people have had a very good Covid.
The Bureau politely advised us that last year covid was the 38th most popular Cause of death, that the median age of death from all causes was 81.4 years, and from covid you needed to live another 8 years to median 89.6 years old.
