Unlike Adam Goodes, here is a sportsman who – without media adoration – defied the haters:
Novak Djokovic’s exemption to play the Australian Open sparks fury and confusion.
Prominent Victorian emergency department doctor Stephen Parnis said the exemption sent an appalling message to people trying to stop the spread of COVID-19.
“I don’t care how good a tennis player he is. If he’s refusing to get vaccinated, he shouldn’t be allowed in,” Parnis wrote.
“If this exemption is true, it sends an appalling message to millions seeking to reduce COVID-19 risk to themselves and others. Vaccination shows respect, Novak.”
So-called ‘vaccination’ doesn’t stop covid. At this point, anyone arguing otherwise is touched in the head. But it does show “respect”? That isn’t science; it’s piety. At least Branch Covidians aren’t still claiming ‘anti-vaxxer’ gypsies spread the virus. They held on to that one until they began infecting each other and everyone else. Of necessity, Dr Parnis has had to downgrade being unvaccinated to the topical low of an “appalling message.” Game, set, match: Mr Djokovic.
‘Touched in the head’.
Love it.
Djoker is a hero for not caving and revealing his vaccination status. He stared down the ruling Karens and won. In doing so he has exposed the arseholes for the craven hypocrites they are.
Let’s just hope he is given standing ovations and wins the tournament.
That would be beautiful.
79,000 vax injured showing their respect too?
Champion is as Champion does. Only wish the cricketers had the balls to act like he has.
What a pathetic bunch of gutless wankers they are.
New balls all round.
If anyone should be subject to the blame and fury game from the Covid Nazis it is the politicians and health officials who are allowing him in, not Djokovic.
Dr Parnis could make better use of his time by fixing the unmatched death rate from Covid in Victorian hospitals.
Respect is earned not due doctor.
the facts are he got an exemption by an independent committee. He did not game the system.
Again the spreading is not a problem for those vaxxed. It is a problem if you are not vaxxed. They are far more likely to be in hospital and to die.
Your tax dollars at work.
It is ironic some of the fruit loops do not like government but are happy for government to save them.
I despise both state (Victoria) and federal governments.
And I do not want to be “saved” by them, especially if it infringes on my personal rights or liberties in any way.

Perhaps you could quote or link to the most recent statistics, rather than making bland assertions?
I thought he had already had Covid?
andrews is hoping that this year the AO crowd will be booing Novak instead of him.
And I see that in order to keep the scam going, the Age is today declaring that the surgical masks which almost everybody has been wearing for the last two years offer ‘minimal’ protection against respiratory diseases. (Anybody with a brain knew this anyway.) So in two years we’ve gone thus:
1. Don’t buy a mask, you’ll be wasting it (andrews, sutton)
2. Wear a mask or our goons will pepper spray you and arrest you.
3. Those masks we forced you to wear for two years under threat of violence don’t actually do anything.
We’re not quite there yet. Masks are only compulsory indoors in Tasmania, however over 50% of people wear the stupid things on the street in uptown Hobart.
We need a ‘covid ribbon’ virtue signallers can wear instead of a mask, ‘and bar’ for those who earn their 3rd shot / first booster. Only problem being the woke bureaucracy have probably already allocated all of the ribbon colours to other causes by now. Wait, they could make the ribbons out of the same material as the disposable masks…
Dr Parnis comes from the AMA union, which IMHO has disgraced itself multiple times … if my uncaccinated status can disrespect unscientific totalitarian twerps like him, that warms the heart considerably.
Look I haven’t done too badly out of this pandemic … had some savings going into it, bought into the dip when the markets crashed, then sold shares and shifted my investments over to precious metals (i.e. bought the diesel Hilux I’ve been wanting).
I feel very sorry for the vaccine injured in our trainwreck of a medical system. People like Dr Parnis will no doubt sing long and loud about their “enpathy” powers, but go read the reports of people who came asking the doctors about what to do when they got a vaccine injury … oh boy were those people kicked to the curb by the medical profession that they trusted.
Personally, I’ve still got my health, and my self respect, even if I am carrying a nasty grudge or two … but let me say that those vaccine injured people aren’t going away, and they can’t exactly forget now, can they? I may not believe in God, but I do believe in karma and what has gone around will come around … it’s gonna get back to you.
I wonder if the “stories” of the vaxx-injured will ever be told – in the great tradition of lefty Troof Commissions.
Congrats on the Hilux, Tel. I wish you could still buy one that runs on petrol, though. Only the low-ride ute is petrol in the Hilux line-up now.
