Morrison’s obsession with pub politics has exposed him as a populist drunk, more focused on low-rent politics than sensible policy that is becoming of a leader.

One point that the people getting stuck into Novak seem to ignore is that we need him more than he needs us Without the top players the event will drop in status and probably lose its Grand Slam status. If he is banned there will be an understandable reluctance by other top players to come. The journeymen and women will come for the money but the event will slowly go the same way as our golf tournaments and become irrelevant.

Djokovic is ‘top predator’ competitor. This does not make him a loveable personality like Roger Federer.

However, it does make him an uncompromising human being when it comes to determining crap from evidence. For this reason I have been right behind him when he refused vaccination after his original bout with Covid.
