Because the official figures – censoriously excluded from these reports – are embarrassing:
Three people were aged in their 40s, five people were aged in their 60s, five people were aged in their 70s, 11 people are in their 80s and five people are in their 90s.
Of the 29 people who died; 19 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 and 10 people were not vaccinated.
I’m no editor but I would have thought 65.5 per cent of decedents being ‘fully vaccinated’ – on the worst day of the pandemic in Australia’s most populous state – is a big story. Much bigger than the disco drama being frenziedly stoked today for obvious reasons.
Elsewhere: In South Australia, of the 225 people in hospital with covid, 131 are fully vaccinated.
Correct that it is a distraction. But what a Godless carry-on Hellsong.
Regarding SA hospital numbers seems like less than 18 unvaccinated as I read it – 76 unknown def. not unvacced – they always CROW about this factor!
Here’s the thing about Hillsong’s event. It was LEGAL. Health Hazzard was banging on about spirit and intent of the law. Last I checked, he wrote the amendment that banned dancing and singing at certain events or venues. He didn’t put religious events in it. Your mileage may vary as how you choose to worship but they did nothing illegal.
Yep. In fact it could be zero unvaxxed, as they are grouping those with the single vaxxed with the unvaxxed. It’s always smoke and mirrors with these arseholes.

Incredibly, that was mentioned on the ABC bulletin, but only in the most hurried of passing. Probably safe in the knowledge that the typical low-information arts graduate ABC viewer is functionally innumerate.
At the same time, we have to remember that we have no way of knowing how many of those people, if any, actually died of COVID.
Also NSW Health a week or so ago announced that Covid patients would no longer be in separate wards.
So people on death’s door from other things are now mixed in with people infected with highly contagious Omicron…

In the past two years, plenty of people went to hospital with some other problem and ended up catching COVID in hospital. That’s been happening in Australia and worse around Europe, UK and USA. They simply have not been able to isolate the contagious aerosol particals. Heck, even in “quarantine” people were catching COVID while they were in there, despite being perfectly healthy when they first turned up … check the surveilance reports where it shows people getting their first symptoms after more than a week in quarantine.
Rather than openly admit they have no way of dealing with it, they merely quietly change the protocols … essentially an admission, without saying it.
