If MPs can be sanctioned merely for dissent from the approved line, then anyone can be.
It’s a complete perversion of democracy and free speech.
Wondering when the show trials and jailings for thought and speech crimes will start in Australia.
KKK is an absolute @#$%& disgrace.
Kristina manages somehow to get more and more annoying as time goes by. She should return to the US, she’d be a shoo-in for Vice President.
If there is a Hell, it’s being stuck in a room with Kristina Keneally and Lucy Turnbull.
Meanwhile MPs are exempt from vaccine mandates.
Always a strange duck, an American inexplicably sitting in Australia parliaments as a ‘politician’, always in a position of influence, lecturing us, always pushing us, never going away.
Can someone explain to me how someone installed as premier by Eddie Obeid was cleared by ICAC
Slightly off topic … while the Americans are laughing about the kangaroo justice system we run in Australia, it’s worth comparing with how the FBI operates.

They are going after a journalist (Steve Baker) for filming the events of 6 Jan, while surprisingly the Anfita operative named John Sullivan (a.k.a Jayden X, or Activist John) was briefly arrested and then released, despite being right at the front of the crowd, pushing past police, and encouraging others to get violent on the day.

Sullivan pretended to be a journalist with Jade Sacker right behind him filming. The gave an interview on CNN right afterwards. The FBI did attempt to charge him … so far as I can discover this has gone nowhere and Sullivan is pretty much free to do what he pleases. Perhaps some day it will catch up with him, but others who did a lot less than he did, have spent far more time in prison.
There’s no doubt we are watching the rise of authoritarianism in all Western democracies and at this stage the only measure of any politician or media figure is how much they push back against this.
It’s a good point. The US right is getting a tad carried away re Australia – a least in the sense that their own country is hardly a bastion of the rule of law these days itself. The FBI is basically the gestapo of the Democrat Party. It should have been abolished decades ago.
Law ‘enforcement’ agencies worldwide are now letting off left-wing criminals because left-controlled governments see the latter not as criminals but as campaigners for heart of gold causes.
