   I’d prefer we didn’t, and instead invest the money in popcorn. The Chinese have a tiny problem, which is that ramshackle nations they’ve been building ports for haven’t been repaying the loans. Not much they can do about it other than land troops, which these days is iffy. So far China has been stiffed successfully by several of these countries, which in turn incentivizes more ramshackle countries to stiff them too. Hence popcorn.

   Yes but Bruce they don’t care that much about that. The important point is that these countries vote against Taiwan. West Taiwan has its eyes on the prize.
