This reminds me of a certain Turnbull retirement plan.

I guess there’s a reason they don’t call him Scotty from Originality.

  2. Lee says:

A billion dollar bribe to people who will never vote for him and loathe him, and all based on a falsehood.

    Utterly clueless.

  3. Pommyal says:

Put Peter Ridd in charge of it and maybe some good would come out of it.
Otherwise you’ve just pissed it up against the wall.

  4. Ed Case says:

It just heads off at the pass the inevitable “The Reef is dying and it’s Scotty’s Fault” campaign leading into the Election.
Liberal Polling might show that they’re in with a good chance and that Palmers omnipresent advertising has blocked Labor out of voters awareness.

So you approve of the expenditure of a billion of taxpayers’ money as part of an election campaign?

  6. Ed Case says:

    it’s just electoral pork.
The Reef Industry always get their Gov’ment billions anyway, Scotty just strung them out for a bit.
What other ALP talking points have you got for us today, Albo?

Thanks for confirming that you support pork-barreling.

That’s what it reads like to me, too.

Practically the only people who will be happy with a billion thrown at the Reef will never vote for ScoMo anyway, so why do it?

Did you like that new road built where you live?
    That’s Pork Barreling.

That Billion Dollars ends up being spent in the towns up and down the Reef and if only half the 18/19/20 year olds end up voting Labor/Green because of the grant rather than all of them, then it’s a Billion Buck$$ well $pent.

That’s quite a few assumptions there.

It’s a massive pork-barreling waste of money IMO.

  12. Shy Ted says:

    Invest in money-printing presses.

No new road where I live.
