Nope, border closures are not going to ‘end’

“The condition is you must be double vaccinated to come to Australia,” he said.

“That’s the rule. Everyone is expected to abide by it…”

Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews said unvaccinated travellers would still need to apply for a travel exemption to come to Australia and have to undergo hotel quarantine if they were granted permission to enter the country…

The expert panel on vaccines, ATAGI, has flagged though that it is considering whether to still use the term “fully vaccinated” or instead move to “up to date with vaccinations” like is used with childhood vaccines.

If the definition is changed, it could mean that booster shots are included when considering if someone is “up to date” or not.

Mr Morrison made it clear, with a reference to the recent Novak Djokovic saga, that even if people had the correct visa to enter Australia, if they were not fully vaccinated — or had an exemption — they would not be allowed to enter.

We know the ‘fully vaccinated’ spread the mostly harmless virus no less than the non-‘vaccinated.’ The government and its ‘expert’ panel are maintaining the lie that the latter are dangerous for one reason only: to protect themselves from ever admitting or acknowledging that their vaxxer mania was unnecessary, didn’t work, cannot be maintained and was a costly, dishonest sham. It doesn’t matter what the issue is – emissions, religious liberty, mandates or state border lock-outs – Scott Morrison always comes down on the side of the lumpen media-left orthodoxy.

Asking again: Anyone know who the people are currently going into the QLD reeducation camp?

We were told by meeja “small group of unvaccinated international arrivals” but vile Smirko insists that such vermin are completely banned and “not welcome in Australia” to quote him. Further to that the path to get an exemption to enter unvaxxed is impossibly hard, and deliberately so.

    Something like this:
The cops will be doing random Covid testing at the carpark exit to supermarkets.
So if the missus didn’t return home from shopping yesterday, give the Wagners a bell on the Eau-De-Cologne.

  3. Petros says:

No doubt there won’t be many tourists coming here. Who would chance it? They could be deemed as not up-to-date with their vaccines whilst mid-flight.

If he had done what any decent conservative PM would have done on all those issues – instead of doing what a leftist or a Labor PM would have – he would have been in a far stronger position to win the next election.
But instead he has abandoned all his parties principles courting those who will never vote for him and despise him.
Electoral oblivion awaits Morrison and the party he has thoroughly trashed.

Unless he or she is very wealthy, what potential foreign tourist would gamble thousands of dollars on the whims of the Australian government?
Not everyone has deep pockets like Djokovic.

  6. C.L. says:

Agreed. A foolish choice coming to Australia.

If you have nothing sensible to say, say nothing.

What happens to children that are close contacts.
I think the High Court may have decided that children can’t be detained with adults, so I guess DOCS will have to seek orders in the Family Court?

  9. rosie says:

I’m betting those arrivals are either refugees or agricultural workers.

I know it’s never good enough but to me this is another nail in the covid coffin.

  11. Chris M says:

Unfortunately in Australia the coffin apparently requires a great many nails.

  12. Pommyal says:

Not so much a coffin Chris M.
Sadly more like a mass grave.
Agreed Lee. Scummo has no comprehension of the absolute belting he is going to get.
    Fully deserved.

  13. Petros says:

That’s to keep the oncologists out, Chris M. Medical joke.

  14. Shy Ted says:

You see zero commercial airplanes flying over the Gold Coast in the day, Brisbane just to the north, Coolangatta just to the south. The old normal was a succession ascending or descending. Over the last few nights I’ve noticed a small number flying over. Very sus.
Chris M, vids of Toowoomba gulag are saying “10 unvaxxed from NZ” but only 1 masked lady on the vid, “at their own expense”. I’m guessing Kiwi health workers who are numerous in the regions. If any of what they say is true. Ag workers almost all very dark skinned and they wouldn’t be able to afford it.
