The Editorial Board of The Wall Street Journal: Trump Really Was Spied On.

According to a Friday court filing, the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign effort to compile dirt on Donald Trump reached into protected White House communications…

The indictment revealed that Mr. Sussmann worked with “Tech Executive-1,” who has been identified as Rodney Joffe, formerly of Neustar Inc. The indictment says Mr. Joffe used his companies, as well as researchers at a U.S. university, to access internet data, which he used to gather information about Mr. Trump’s communications.

Mr. Durham says Mr. Joffe’s “goal” was to create an “inference” and “narrative” about Mr. Trump that would “please certain ‘VIPs,’ referring to individuals at [Perkins Cole] and the Clinton Campaign.”

When Pell had to return to Australia to face his committal hearings and trial in 2018, the Italian newspapers Corriere della Sera and Il Messagero quoted Becciu’s former deputy, Alberto Perlasca, who claimed Vatican money had been transferred to Australia to fund bribes to various officials and witnesses to prosecute the child sexual abuse case against Pell.

Now, there is no dispute that four international money transfers, totalling more than $2 million, were transferred from the Vatican to Australia at the time claimed in 2016 and 2017. Two of the transfers were authorised by Becciu. However, the money was sent to the Melbourne offices of Neustar, an American company providing global communications and internet directory and security services.

To date, there is still no explanation of why a crooked Italian cardinal desperate to stop George Pell cleaning out the stables in Rome sent $2 million to the Melbourne office of the very same company hired to spy on the man cleaning out the stables in Washington DC.

But no MSM reporting at all – censorship by omission is alive and well.

only one problem. the President spied upon was Obama. It was 2016 incidentally

the NYT has it all. Holy red face batman

    Non Mentis

Shrillary spied on Obama? Was the operation closed down in January 2017, or was the earlier period being used to set up the arrangements for when Trump became president?

Odd, also, that spying on Obama involved tapping into Trump Tower. Was Obama taking accommodation there?

PS, at least Obama wasn’t Arkancided.

  4. Bruce of Newcastle says:

Wasn’t just Trump. So were Rand Paul, Jeff Sessions and a heap of others.
Obama weaponized the alphabet agencies irrevocably.
They need to be dismantled completely and their powers transferred to the states.

    LOL.
I often wonder if you seriously believe the BS you post here.

    That got 404ed quickly

Unfortunately for you there are actually journos out there who read depositions and the like. you cannot change the black and white.
    There wasn’t much to report.

as I said holy red face batman. The allegations simply blew up in their faces so some people were either bone lazy or lying their heads off.

Around December 2020, Pell gave an interview to Italian media. He claimed all senior figures within the Vatican who had taken charge of reforming the finances of the Holy See “with very few exceptions, has been attacked by the media on the level of reputation in one way or another”.
Asked if he suspected there was a link between his financial reforms and “what happened”, Pell said: “Of course I suspected it. In Australia, everyone I work with has no doubt that the link is obvious”, he told the Sette Storie program in an interview aired on the free-to-air broadcaster, Rai News.
We have no evidence yet, but certainly a lot of smoke,” Pell said. “We have criminals who have been heard to say: ‘Pell is out of the game. Now we have a highway in front of us.’ Of course, all this is still smoke, you cannot yet consider evidence, but it remains a possibility.
“It’s for this reason that I hope that there will never be enough evidence to prove that Vatican money was used if not to corrupt directly, at least to poison the public atmosphere against me. I hope there is no proof of this for the good of the church.”
Ostensibly the money had been paid to the Nuncio to repair some gates.
Then the noble Victorian Government IBAC found there was no reason to investigate the trail.
Then John Sylvester, a well regarded former cop, now writer, laughed off the whole thing with a comment like, “does the complainant look like they have an extra million in their pocket”, it was far beyond disingenuous.
The question arises why did he feel that he had to put his credibility on the line over this?
It was always obvious that sort of money went much further up the food chain.
    And this confirms it.

  10. C.L. says:

I didn’t know Sylvester said that. That does sound like rather contrived straw man advocacy. Nobody argued the millions were simply paid into the account of Perjurer J.

  11. Boxcar says:

3AW breakfast., so it’s not an exact quote, but it was a WTF moment,

  12. Sylvester used to give plausible insight into the inner workings of VicPlod, but I’ve barely switched on 3AW lately which kinda makes it hard to catch his segment. The comment certainly smells of straw man.
