Without the guns the Liberal Party confiscated, probably not

Would we stand and fight like Ukraine? Laptoppers like Peta Credlin suddenly adore the armed:

The invasion of Ukraine is not happening because Russia was surrounded by aggressive hostile powers. The idea that Ukraine, with just 40 million people, could bully Russia, a country with more than double its population and four times its gross domestic product – is simply fanciful.

Nobody ever claimed Ukraine and its corrupt government could “bully” Russia any more than they claimed Fidel Castro’s Cuba could bully the United States. As for fantasy, an LNP government just lost a 20-year war against semi-retarded boy-buggerers in Afghanistan who John Howard claimed were a threat to Australia. We carried on, ever-stalwart, despite the risk of intercontinental ballistic goat droppings.

Frankly, Western apologists for Vladimir Putin, on the grounds that he’s old-fashioned on gender issues, are an echo of the fascist sympathisers of the 1930s who liked Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini because they were anti-communist.

The unity ticket between Woke Twitter and the Donald Rumsfeld right over the past few weeks has been quite something to behold. Everyone they don’t like is a Nazi. I’m not aware of anyone who is an ‘apologist’ for Putin on ‘gender issues.’ It’s also strange for Credlin to imply scientific reality on that subject is “old-fashioned.” As it happens, Westerners who mutilate children are as perverse as the Russian dictator. On fascist sympathisers, the allusion isn’t at all advisable in an encomium for Ukraine where nazism remains a cottage industry.

Maybe Russian conscripts fed a diet of propaganda from state-controlled news agencies and social media really do believe Ukraine is a Nazi state committing genocide against its own Russian-speaking citizens.

Worked for the ‘Stolen Generation’ and WMD.

Then there’s the Ukrainian defenders telling their much better-armed attacker to “go f..k yourself” as they made their last stand…

Who’s going to tell her?

I’m sure most Australians are grateful we live on the other side of the world, far away from this conflict. Yet deep down we know our world, too, will be damaged if theirs is shattered, given that we’re witnessing history repeat itself as an armed aggressor rolls across a neighbouring border in Europe, denying Ukraine’s sovereignty and statehood.

There are many wars currently being fought around the world. Only the one in Ukraine is trending on Twitter but that doesn’t make it uniquely consequential. Cats chasing their own tails also trend on Twitter. I’m sure if Yemen had a national beverage for sale on our shelves, inner-city bottle-os would be happy to pour it down a drain. The war in Ukraine is complicated and will not be won in the Appomattox sense by either side. Long after Putin, Boris Johnson and Joe Biden are gone, it will play out politically over the next few decades. In the meantime, the Ukrainian people should not be exploited as proxy martyrs by blood-splattered Bushie fabulists.

Wonder if she did any research at all? Not hard to find out about the azov battalion and how deeply they’re embedded in the government. Nor is it hard to find out about the geopolitical realities of a buffer state like Ukraine.

If this is the highlight of our journalists it’s fairly safe to write off the entire profession.

Indeed, Lenin and the Bolsheviks ushered in the first fascist socioeconomic system, scattering across Europe. Winston Churchill also noted this political evolution, writing in 1948: “As Fascism sprang from Communism, so Nazism developed from Fascism.”

Surprise: Mussolini Was Not the First Fascist

“Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.” —Perth, Scotland, 28 May 1948, in Churchill, Europe Unite: Speeches 1947 & 1948 (London: Cassell, 1950), 347.

These bozos want to relentlessly and aggressively pretend that history in Ukraine started in 2019, not 2014. That they (the Peta Credlins et al) didn’t give widespread and in depth coverage and cheer-girl like support to the violent anti-democrat Obama state dept. formented coup that took place in 2014, and their puppet who was installed to run Ukraine after it.

That it was those exact actions, following on from the teenager like fomentation of the Arab Spring and ISIS which now have Russian tanks burning through Ukraine towns in 2022.

The silence is deafening, isn’t it? And they look like the cat that swallowed the canary with sort of RaRa nonsense while refusing to even speak their previous, now exiled installed “president’s” name.

Credlin, what happened to your Very Brave Maidan revolutionary and unelected installed leader who ran Ukraine 2014 – 2019? Do tell what the current illegitimate Ukraine president is doing to the previous illegitimate president, your Brave Maidan Hero Poroshenko.

    Great ‘Fisking’ C.L.

I made the mistake yesterday of watching a little bit of Credlin. “Defending democracy” got a good workout. It is mind-blowing how shallow the analysis of our political class really is. Just embarrassing really.

  6. Davey Boy says:

Meanwhile, our local Council last night (in Sydney’s West where I live), spent hours last night arguing about spending thousands of our rate dollars to put up signs “racism not welcome”, alongside making effusive expressions of support for Ukraine. Nothing about Roads, footpaths, parks, gardens, drainage, operating budget and the like.

All levels of government have well and truly lost the plot.

If you wondered how the atrocities all over Europe went by last century barely commented on and dismissed by the “western media”, you’re living it.

Thousands of words and written all over the media and not word about the civil war that east Ukraine has been in for eight years.

Just one big happy neo nazi family.

Mrs Peta Brian Loughnane, oops I mean, “Credlin” is a globalist shill. The wife of a provincial apparatchik of the globalist class, and so naturally she’s “lock step” on the Democrat’s state departments activities around the world.

Loughnane has extensive international political experience with major centre-right parties around the world. He attended the first Convention of the Conservative Party of Canada and has had a close working relationship with senior Canadian political figures for many years.[3] In 2016, he was asked to conduct a review of the 2015 national election campaign for the Conservative Party of Canada.[4]

Loughnane is Deputy Chairman of the International Democrat Union since April 2019,[5] was previously Assistant Chairman,[6] and in 2015 was appointed to the International Republican Institute International Advisory Board.[7]

    It’s all just so lame.

    Thank you CL.
I’m sick of the shallow takes.
Meanwhile, people mostly young men, are dying.
I remember reading Beever on the Spanish Republican treatment of the international brigades, preferred cannon fodder and arbitrarily shot for cowardice if refused (with a British exception).

  11. Chris M says:

Ooh CL, harsh but fair! So harsh, yet still fair in fact.

We now know there are unlimited number of masked police and paramilitary turtle suited goons to fight for the govt, no need for civilians to get involved. Also they could call in the planeloads of unmarked green UN NWO goons who are not needed in Ottowa anymore. Vastly more hired goons than people it seems. Plus all the loyal foreign student can help – earn points towards visa scheme.

  12. cuckoo says:

Civilians who are piously and theatrically taking russian products off their shelves, etc. are on the same level as Brits who stoned random dachshunds in the street during WWI.

  13. Boambee John says:

I suspect that Dan Murphy et al simply moved the Russian vodka into a back room. It will re-appear on the shelves when the dust settles, at a higher price.

  14. cuckoo says:

And for the third night in a row, SBS has run an item in which the featured typical ‘Ukrainian’ fleeing into Poland is…a black dude. With dire warnings about…(you’ll never guess)…Racism! Because that’s always your biggest concern when fleeing a war zone.
