Australian men hold some of the most misogynistic views in the Western world, with the cohort ranking well above the global average in a country-by-country analysis on gender bias and online abuse by research firm Ipsos and the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership (GIWL)…
Former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who leads GIWL, says “enough is enough.”
“Sexual violence against women has been a huge focus of our community debate thanks to the bravery of Brittany Higgins, Grace Tame and so many other courageous women,” she said… “Now comes this research with its shocking findings about underlying male attitudes and how much worse they are in Australia compared with other countries.”
She’s commissioning her own ‘polls’ now, bless. That’ll show Tony Abbott. There is far more proof of sinister malice against the late Kimberley Kitching than there is of ‘sexual violence’ against Miss Higgins. At the time of writing, Gillard – also patron of the Pan-African Sisterhood (yes, seriously) – hasn’t condemned the Labor women who hounded a senator to an early grave.
Just wait ’till “The Court” shuts her ‘twitter’!
Is Tim Mathieson still cowering in a caravan out the back of Lake Eppalock?
The good news is that she was hoping to release this closer to the election, but the need to run interference is much more urgent now…
Maybe the strategy is to have the trial cancelled.
Then they can continue to claim Higgins is a victim, without the embarrassment of a not guilty verdict.
Well, they clearly don’t want a trial.
Mind you, the ACT authorities will pretend that this week’s warning from the CJ is some kind of insurance against a defence motion to stay the prosecution. As if a fair trial didn’t become an impossibility many months ago.
Abbott ‘looks at his watch’ and they’re still talking about it, but when Hitching gets bullied into an early grave they don’t want to know about it.
That was an informative article, now I genuinely know rather than suspect that polling by ipsos is a load of bollocks.

The fact the guy can’t get a fair trial will make his ‘Not Guilty’ verdict even more emphatic. Theres no way Higgins can win this unless there’s some damning evidence that has been kept secret.
Is that the world, or the Western world?
Gillard needs to go back to having jolly jaunts to the UK with her mates while Australians are locked up in lockdown.
Gillard has absolutely zero credibility on any issue IMO.
Does that mean we are like Saudi Arabia.
Nice to see the new definition of violence includes no actual violence.
Gillard clearly has no idea what continental European men are like.
patron of the Pan-African Sisterhood
Well, as the Old African Proverb says, it takes a village to raise an idiot. She’ll fit right in with an ar$e that size. Steatopygous is the word, I think.
Gillard clearly has no idea what continental European men are like.
Indeed. A few hours of watching Polish tv, and the way gender roles are depicted therein, would have the mean girls weeping in a foetal position.
They are much more subtle about it in continental western Europe, cuckoo.
