I wonder if Biden’s comment about Putin in power was a contrived attempt by his puppet masters to test the waters. If the comment was politically not well-received and if it tended to advance the Russian cause, it could be explained away as a Bidenism (as was the case); or if it worked politically, it would provide scope for furthering questionable tactical operations. I doubt there is much that is accidental at play.
