From this link in the article:

Since the world exceeds 33 gigatons of CO2 emissions per year, that figure represents just 3 seconds of worldwide greenhouse gases per year …

Three. Seconds. Per. Year. That’s how much CO2 is being removed. When the plant is actually working.

… which raises questions of whether the technology can make a significant difference in global efforts to solve the climate crisis.

    Really? Does it?

They are just taking the piss now, but still getting away with it. Platinum-grade grifting.

    LOL @jupes

Isn’t Iceland the place that made and lost a fortune during the GFC process?

It would be more effective to stop all beer production and consumption in Iceland!

I wonder where they put the CO2 after the extract it from air?
If they inject it down a well in Iceland it’s liable to come right back up again.
Most of what is under Iceland is magma with lots of CO2 in it, which is emitted whenever a volcano erupts.
