Men Xi’s

Nationals MP Darren Chester agrees with Scott Morrison that Australia must become poorer:

Matt Canavan is becoming like the Japanese intelligence officer who refused to accept World War II was over and hid in the Philippines jungle for 30 years. The Coalition worked through this policy over an extended period of time last year to achieve a position of net zero emissions by 2050.”

Might be worth waiting and watching the failure in Europe as fuel poverty takes over … before going ahead and instigating the same failure in Australia.

It’s probably good to mention one more time that China is busy building coal fired power stations all over the place. They have their own failures in terms of a lockdown/starvation oriented police-state healthcare system, and high particulate pollution due to lack of exhaust filters … but at least they understand the usefulness of electricity.

A position that will cost Australia trillions of dollars for no benefit whatsoever. A policy that could do nothing to fix a non-existent problem even if the problem did exist. A policy that only benefits our enemies.

Darren Chester is another fifth columnist. Just in the Nats this time.

  4. Entropy says:

On reflection, that might be untrue.

Oops wrong post. Nigella discussion too distracting.

  6. Chris M says:

Net zero Liberals well before 2050 one hopes.

  7. Ed Case says:

    Here it is:

Labor has committed to cutting emissions by 43 per cent by 2030, if it wins government, compared with the Coalition’s longstanding target of 26 to 28 per cent.

Committed means if they’re elected they’ve got a Mandate to make 43% L.A.W.
The perfect is the enemy of the good, and the deal between the Coalition Parties is the best deal anyone’s gonna ever get.

The perfect is the enemy of the good…

Nobody is asking for perfection; only honesty.

  9. Buccaneer says:

We will get no honesty in the climate change debate, the left is addicted to gaslighting and outright lying across the board. The problem arrives when otherwise rational people start to go along because they think that the narrative must be true since the number of people prepared to buck that narrative dwindles. That those people stop publicly pushing back is more related to the viciousness of the retribution from the left than any actual facts. Watch what happens to Musk now he’s threatening to pull apart one of their main gaslighting mechanisms.
