  1. Lee says:

One can only imagine the furore had a conservative made a similarly disparaging comment about an opposition figure.
Also, the fascistic McGowan is in no position to call anyone else an “extremist”.

  2. Fred says:

Dutton should call her Maria Victoria Henao. Pablo Escabar’s wife.

  3. Buccaneer says:

Mean girl plibersek invested as little political capital as possible in the election, perhaps she feels she needs to make up for that?

It’s telling that they can’t even go a week without toxic barbs towards people they disagree with. Plibersek can’t even apologise in public, just tell everyone she rang Dutton to apologise.

    Not worthy of government.

  4. Cassie of Sydney says:

Until those on the right grow some spine and stand up to this and publicly call it out and insist that all media organisations do the same, nothing and I mean nothing will change. In the meantime, here’s a little smidgen of what various people on the right have put up with from the left and their goons. I’ll begin this by writing how yesterday morning, even before I’d heard about Plibersek’s Dutton insult, it was revealed that Labor/ABC/The Malcolm Guardian darling, Kathy Lette, insulted Jenny Morrison by making a despicable comment about what Mrs Morrison was wearing on Saturday night*. It was in the vein of Magda Szubanki’s comment last year, ridiculing Mrs Morrison for looking like something out of a religious sect. I should add that Ms Szubanki is really the last person to make disparaging remarks about another woman’s physical appearance.

But here’s a little list, just to get everyone going in the morning. I won’t detail everything that’s been done to the following names by the left, it would require too much time and I must go to work.

    1. Not even the Morrison’s two girls have been spared smears and ridicule by the left.
    2. Nicolle Flint, who endured years of abuse, smears, ridicule and even stalking.
    3. Tony Abbott’s daughters. One daughter had her personal scholarship details hacked by a leftist activist.
    4. Tony Abbott (assaulted in broad daylight)…the list is too long, culminating in the 2019 election campaign.
    5. Janet Albrechtsen, smeared on Twitter by Lord Malcolm’s son.
    6. Andrew Bolt (assaulted in broad daylight).
    7. Rita Panahi.
    8. Miranda Devine.
    9. Peter Dutton (he’s called “Potato Head”).

and on an on it goes, all emanating from the left and the chums in the MSM and on social media sewers.

    * The irony is that Mrs Morrison’s outfit on Saturday night was a Carla Zampatti piece, designed by the late Ms Zampatti, Allegra’s mummy.

  5. Not Trampis says:

wow CL in full woke mood.

It is funny as he looks like Voldemort. That was why she was laughing at the time.

Don’t you think it is just a tad hypocritical for people who insult people all the time here to claim this is an insult.

  6. Old School Conservative says:

The viscous attacks on “the right” or “conservatives” and their families are centrally planned, coordinated, and weaved around a common narrative of painting any non-lefty as “extreme”. What once was the moderate centre of Australian politics is now being demonised as radical extremism.
Stand by for laws prohibiting the expression of such views.

    Change my mind.

  7. C.L. says:

I don’t know what Voldemort looks like, Homer.
I’m not familiar with children’s television or books.

The point is if Dutton commented on a Labor woman’s fat arse, he would have no future. Goose, gander. Plibersek should be sacked.

Cassie, one more for your list: Butch lesbian Penny Wong mocking Kimberley Kitching for dyeing her hair.

  8. Boambee John says:

Non Mentis continues with his confused incoherence, not sure what he supports or opposes, but doing it anyway.

PS, NM, she was laughing because she thought she had produced a “killer” line. Fail!

  9. C.L. says:

    Penny. Wong.
Parliament’s ugliest female mocked Kitching’s hair.

Oh – and also the fact that she couldn’t have children.
As if Penny herself actually had any herself.

  10. False Equivalence says:

Much as I can only agree, Cassie, I note that you have been rather free with descriptors of ALP hacks as “skanks”, etc?

  11. Cassie of Sydney says:

“Much as I can only agree, Cassie, I note that you have been rather free with descriptors of ALP hacks as “skanks”, etc?”

LOL. I’m not in public office, Plibersek is. Nor am I a “celebrity” like Magda. I’ve never physically attacked anyone on the left, and if a politician on the left was physically attacked, I wouldn’t laugh about it, in fact I’d condemn it. When Abbott was attacked in Hobart back in 2017, many on the left laughed about it.

Try harder…as usual your “equivalence” is false.

  12. Cassie of Sydney says:

I should also add, False Equivalence, that the tone of debate in this country hasn’t be debased by those of us on the right. And funny how, upon his election, Albanese called for more “civil debate”…..LOL…..well that didn’t take very long to be consigned to the garbage bin and it wasn’t tossed away by a politician on the on the right. It was his comrade Plibersek.

  13. Lee says:

Don’t you think it is just a tad hypocritical for people who insult people all the time here to claim this is an insult.

Says someone who repeatedly calls everyone who he disagrees with here “deplorables” and “idiots.”

  14. Lee says:

When Abbott was attacked in Hobart back in 2017, many on the left laughed about it.

I’d bet that if any prominent lefty politician or public figure was assaulted we would never hear the end of it.
I’d also bet that “right wing extremists” would be blamed by some, regardless of evidence.
Don’t forget the hysterical overreaction to two or three nasty or off colour signs directed at Dan Andrews carried by protesters during very large Melbourne demonstrations – that wasn’t even violence.
Of course, even ScoMo embarrassed himself over that.

  15. NoFixedAddress says:

The Fascist Labor Party of Australia Only has policies of destruction.

It’s Teal Ducks All The Way Down.

  16. jupes says:

From the link, the Slovenian Hag:

‘And if this last election taught us anything, it taught us that the Liberal Party has moved too far to the extremes of politics.’

The junky’s wife is spot on here.

  17. Not Trampis says:

please is there someone who can try and articulate how saying Dutton looks like voldemort is an insult. I know CL is trying but really. It is nothing like saying someone has a fat arse. It is nothing like saying someone is the ugliest woman in parliament.

Just remember he is only defeated by Harry Potter so Albo being no harry Potter means..

Woke deplorables. now that is even funnier

  18. Buccaneer says:

If Dutton retorted by saying Plibbers looks like a middle aged hooker walking down William st, he’d be roundly condemned by the same people that tell us sex work is a legitimate occupation. Yet it’s ok to call Dutton the devil incarnate. There is something seriously unbalanced in Plibbers head that she felt secure enough to say this, think it was funny and expect little scrutiny for it.

    Not fit for government.

  19. Lee says:

please is there someone who can try and articulate how saying Dutton looks like voldemort is an insult.

    BS.
If any conservative pollie said that Gillard looks like the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz (or that Wong looks like a man) he or she would immediately be out on their ear, even if it were true.
Comparing Peter Dutton with Voldemort was a clearly calculated insult.

  20. Boambee John says:

Non Mentis again rushes to defend anyone on the left from any criticism of any speech or action.

    Rusted on maybe?

  21. Lee says:

Even Albo said Plibersek was wrong to say what she said, and that apologising was appropriate.

  22. Buccaneer says:

I find it entirely consistent that NM feels Voldemort is a character to be emulated…

  23. Wally Dalí says:

I’m not surprised that Bladdersack went on morning telly to do the yuk yuks about the opposition with her chums- after all, she’d been excluded by the Labor campaign- it’s all she’d been allowed to do since spending election night with gal pals Crabb and Pwobyn.
And it was such a low energy jab too, strung out far too long, and then spelled out with an Albericiesque “just sayin'”.
Note that Albo took time off his busy jet set man panel week to chide the once-upon-a-time leadership aspirant… that’s her whispering campaign, positioning herself as the approachable people’s favourite, as easily digestible as a cuppa microwave porridge with forest as berries as featured on morning telly, and as down-with-the-kids as… er… Kochie, pre-emptively scuttled.
Left talkie telly is about all she’s up for now. Get those eyes a-rolling and tell your story walkin’, Tanya.

  24. C.L. says:

I think you’ve got it in one, Wally.
As much a sour rebellion against her own leader as it was a sledge of Dutton.

  25. Lee says:

please is there someone who can try and articulate how saying Dutton looks like voldemort is an insult.

Dutton doesn’t have any hair because he suffers from a skin disease, you gormless, insensitive twit.

  26. Boambee John says:

    Lee

You left out “ignorant”. For someone who pretends to be across all political issues, Non Mentis is remarkably ill-informed.

  27. Not Trampis says:

I thought so. no-one can even come close to saying this was an insult.
Err Uncle Fester was bald but Dutton does not look like him.
come on just try and show how it is an insult. He merely looks like Voldemort .no-one says he is voldemort.
This is why you lot an embarrassment. The insulters in chief are wailing about an alleged insult they can’t even articulate

  28. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

This is why you lot an embarrassment. The insulters in chief are wailing about an alleged insult they can’t even articulate

    What an utterly deplorable statement.

PS, Does “you lot” constitute the sin of stereotyping? How Dare You!

  29. Lee says:

This is why you lot an embarrassment. The insulters in chief are wailing about an alleged insult they can’t even articulate

    Oh, the irony!

  30. Lee says:

BTW, here’s an appropriate insult for you, NT, “pre-schooler”!
    And that’s being kind.

  31. Not Trampis says:

BTW dutton has not produced any proof for this revelation not that it matters.
Still waiting for the why and how it was insulting.

You lot insult people for a living and then complain about it. You all do it.

  32. Boambee John says:

I’ll say this for Plibbers, her choice of insult is far more original than Non Mentis stealing “deplorable” from Shrillary.

You lot insult people for a living and then complain about it. You all do it.

    You most of all!

  33. Buccaneer says:

The Plibbers quote was that he was going to scare a lot of small children because he looks like voldemort. You complain about anonymous people on a blog writing things you find insulting, yet you keep coming back here. You can’t see anything wrong with a childish and unnecessary insult and continually post in circles blathering on about people not providing proof, show us one piece of proof you’ve ever provided for anything you’ve ever posted on this blog, I’ve never seen it…

Plibbers insult proves one thing, she was never fit for government.

  34. Hugh says:

Dutton should seize the high ground. Call their bluff. Put on his worst Voldemort expressions, and terrorise babies across the nation. No apologies. The kids would love it. Might even vote for him in future years. What’s he got to lose? Let’s go, Brandon!

  35. Lee says:

You lot insult people for a living and then complain about it. You all do it.

Your lack of self-awareness never ceases to amaze.
If it wasn’t an insult, why did Plibbers apologise?
Insulting someone with a medical condition is a low even for you, NT.

  36. Tel says:

Peter Dutton is an Alopecia survivor.

He should call up Will Smith and ask for a helping hand here … because there’s some things you just don’t make jokes about.

    Never acceptable Plibbers!

  37. Boambee John says:

Has Non Mentis been disability-shaming Peter Dutton? Shameful!

  38. C.L. says:

Has Non Mentis been disability-shaming Peter Dutton?

    Disgraceful.
