Dutton to lead Libs with Sussan Ley as deputy for some reason

Both elected unopposed. Meanwhile, the Nats have dumped Barnaby for, um, David Littleproud?

  1. twostix says:

Ley was born on 14 December 1961 in Kano, Kano State, Federation of Nigeria.[2] The daughter of English parents, her family moved to the United Arab Emirates when she was one year old, where her father worked as a British intelligence officer. Ley attended boarding school in England until she was 13, when her family migrated to Australia.[3] Her parents bought a hobby farm in Toowoomba, but quickly sold it due to a crash in beef prices. They then moved to Canberra, where her father worked for the Australian Federal Police. She was educated at Campbell High School, Dickson College,[4] La Trobe University, the University of New South Wales and Charles Sturt University, and has master’s degrees in taxation and accountancy. She changed her name from Susan to Sussan after reading about numerology.[5]

Deep State Globalist Stoogism is beyond parody at this point.

Definitely representative of the Australian everyman!

    Oh God.

  3. Chris M says:

Baby Boomers ‘aint yet done with destroying everything?

  4. Petros says:

Of course the Nats would go with Littleproud. Why have someone intelligent with an independent mind leading your party? Why is he better than Barnaby given they just held all their seats. He’ll be another globalist shill. Poor fella my country.

    Vagina.

  6. Buccaneer says:

Deputy leader that was so afraid of her constituents she got the then boss to help her avoid a preselection. Alex Hawke scrambling to remain relevant.

  7. C.L. says:

    Vagina.

    Vaggina.

  8. twostix says:

This is perfect on every level.

But this is what Dutton and “Sussan” – child of a British Intelligence Officer and later AFP hack, are really about: Panopticon.

  9. Mak Siccar says:

    Petros. + 10

  10. C.L. says:

Littleproud to country and regional Australia: ‘LOL – Go f-ck yourselves.’

Former leader Mr Joyce was previously a vocal opponent of a 2050 goal for net zero emissions, but led the Nationals into a net zero agreement with the Liberal Party.

Mr Littleproud said today’s leadership vote was not about “lurching” left or right, but finding the “sensible centre”, and he would uphold the net zero commitment.

“We have made a sensible decision to be part of the global community; the global community asked us to sign up to net zero by 2050,” he said.

  11. twostix says:

Also the four in that photo are the rural functionaries of your retarded ruling elite. Checkout the sleeve tattoo and pink watch strap on the doughboy runt looking cop.

Ley and her bozo provincial counterparts look like the hosts of a bad 1970’s kids afternoon TV show in that photo, and half an hour trawling through her facebook page shows she’s finely suited to that role, which she happily undertakes every day.

    See, this is hell.

  12. jupes says:

“We have made a sensible decision to be part of the global community; the global community asked us to sign up to net zero by 2050,” he said.

Wow. It is now “sensible” to sell out your country to the global elites according to Littleproud. Words cannot express my disgust at these pricks.

  13. twostix says:

    Littleproud was an “agri-banker”.

Obviously agri-corp and industry have finally positioned themselves and regulators to make large returns from the government for producing zero while barring small operators entering and eating their lunch.

    The fix is in.

  14. NoFixedAddress says:

    Wall to wall socialism.

  15. Bruce of Newcastle says:

“We have made a sensible decision to be part of the lemming community; the lemming community asked us to sign up to going over the cliff by 2050,” he said.

    Fixes it.

  16. C.L. says:

Liberals deputy leader Sussan Ley to raise gender quotas.

Newly-elected Liberal deputy leader Sussan Ley says she will raise the idea of gender quotas at the next partyroom meeting.

“I’ll be talking about it the next time our party meets,” Ms Ley said on radio station 2GB.

Ms Ley has previously championed the idea, calling for a 40 per cent gender quota in preselections akin to the Labor Party.

“I’ve talked about that. I’ve made that clear in my own state division in NSW.”

    See how quickly that happened?

The country’s most conservative people stuck by their MPs last weekend.

Today, that same party is exactly the same as the Teals and laughing at them.

  17. False Equivalence says:

C.L: I wouldn’t be surprised if Dutton comes up with a female quota for the Libs. It is clear that Barnaby alone crushed the female vote for Libs and it is not all surprising that the Nats got the message.
For those here who don’t like having women in leadership, my suggestion is that you get over it. The voters are making it very clear: first in the SA elections (every seat lost by Libs went to a woman) and now in the Federal (a remarkable number who won contested seats were women).

Okey doke, nothing to see here, let’s move on :
    To Numerology!
    Susan = 1.3.1.1.5; Ley = 3.5.7 for a total of 11+15=26=8
Not particularly auspicious, but it’s not Jesse James either.
    Sussan =1.3,1,1,1,5 &etc. for a total of 27=9
    3x3x3=27=9, much better, though there’s still not a 2,4,6,or 8 there.
    Currency Lad=3,3,9,9,5,5,3,7 +3,1,4 =44+8=52=7
    Hmmm.
I’ve had this fantasy that she’s descended from Wowserin’ badass Lady Killer and Premier of New South Wales Thomas [Lemonade] Ley.
2,8,6,4,1,1+3,5,7=22+15=37=10=1, he had every number apart from 9.
Which Sussan had 3 of [in total].

  20. Ed Case says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if Dutton comes up with a female quota for the Libs

    Why?
He doesn’t have a Woman Problem and Labor can’t manufacture one [though he did allegedly say the Brittany Higgins issue was a case of “He said, she said”]
The problem, as always, is Small l Liberals, that’s to say, not Liberals at all.
25% of the Teal vote was Liberal voters sick of the Small l Liberals.
Barnaby Joyce didn’t help by not smacking Canavan down and disendorsing Colin Boyce, either.

  21. Old Lefty says:

I know I shouldn’t make fun of people’s names, but Littleproud always reminds me of Churchill’s put down of Clement Attlee: ‘a modest man with much to be modest about’.

  22. Ed Case says:

Deputy leader that was so afraid of her constituents she got the then boss to help her avoid a preselection.

    Is that true though?
She got a majority of 29,000.

  23. Lee says:

C.L: I wouldn’t be surprised if Dutton comes up with a female quota for the Libs.

    An utterly ridiculous notion.
You don’t get by design an equal number of men and women in parliament.
    Only the voters do that.

  24. Ed Case says:

    David=4,1,1,9,4=18=9 Littleproud =3,9,2,2,3,5,7,9,6,3,4=53=8[+9]=17=8
This dude needs another 1 to get his nines in order.
    I suggest David a’Littleproud.

  25. Entropy says:

Littproud is one of those politicians that doesn’t care about policy, it’s all about buying votes.
    He won’t enjoy opposition.

  26. C.L. says:

C.L: I wouldn’t be surprised if Dutton comes up with a female quota for the Libs.

    Neither would I, F.E.
Politics in the West are becoming like Western universities.
Men are leaving because the prestige has gone and women are moving in. As women move in, the prestige decreases and more women move in… Etc etc.

  27. a reader says:

Sussan Ley also introduced a private member’s bill to try to ban live export. That and the numerology surely makes her ineligible to be taken seriously and therefore a party leader.

  28. Old School Conservative says:

Of course no-one remembers the Ley phone expenses scandal (her ministerial phone bill was nearly $14,000).
Nor the charging of taxpayers to attend New Year’s Eve events hosted by a multi-millionaire LNP donor.
Also consigned to the collective forgettery is her purchase of a $795,000 luxury apartment on the Gold Coast while on a taxpayer-funded trip. She claimed it was an impulse purchase.
Forgotten too will be her four taxpayer funded trips to the Gold Coast where she and her partner own two properties.
Ley, a qualified pilot, will hope collective amnesia covers up the time she charged taxpayers more than $13,000 to pilot chartered planes between capital cities, which is more expensive than commercial flights.

But perhaps, just perhaps, the electorate will remember that in 2017 she quit as Health Minister over her expenses scandals.

  29. C.L. says:

Thanks for the important reminders, OSC.

The New Coalition is off to a very bad start. Littleproud was on Murray talking up his beloved net zero tonight. He says all the sacked coal workers will get magic renewable ‘jobs.’ A total clown. Ley is obviously loopy and Dutton is saying sorry for not attending Kevin Rudd’s “sorry” for the non-existent “stolen generations.”

I always make the point that conservatives have to return to fundamental premises. Once you accept a leftist false premise you cannot then run a ‘good’ conservative version of it. You have already lost and will go on losing. The LNP has to go back to basics and repudiate the lie of ‘climate change’ etc.

Dutton-Littleproud have set themselves up to fail.

  30. Tel says:

    David=4,1,1,9,4=18=9

I’m not claiming to be a numerology expert, but back when we were using normal maths we would get this:

    4+1+1+9+4=19

I’m not claiming to believe this crap, but I can use a search engine, and letter “V” actually ends up as number 4 in numerology. Before you ask … yes … yes … I do wish I could comfortably stare at glaring errors like that without freaking out, but it’s impossible.

  31. Buccaneer says:

You have already lost and will go on losing. The LNP has to go back to basics and repudiate the lie of ‘climate change’ etc.

Yes, this was properly proved by Turnbull, but no one paid attention. The problem now for the libs is that they have accepted so many lies it’s not easy to put the genie back in the bottle. Climate change is the most difficult of those problems. Once they accepted the premise of that shibboleth, it’s not a big stretch to the position of action more quickly is good. Which worked a treat for the teals who had none of the baggage of the socialist parties.

  32. Not Trampis says:

Atlee walloped Churchill in the election.
Joyce was always a fraud. He wore a five, 2and 1/2 gallon hat to pretend he was a farmer even when the sun was not out. He was only an accountant in a regional city.
    Littleproud is much better.

The problem the LNP has is they possess little talent. the ALP have had it all over them for a long time.
Keating showed you need a lot of energy and persistence to succeed in Opposition if not intellect. Dutton has the first two virtues but not the intellect.
He may change afterall if Albo can he surely can.

The Tally room has a good article on potential seats the coalition has to win. People should read it.

  33. Wyndham Dix says:

C.L. As women move in, the prestige decreases and more women move in… Etc etc.

Look also at other professions now dominated by females: teaching, accounting, law and medicine.

The ever-present poison of affirmative action – equivalent to the dishonest grocer of old with his finger on the weighing scales – is slowly killing the host. Add to this the corollary of a total fertility rate well below replacement level and you have the delicious irony of an unsustainable society, one which eventually collapses under the weight of its own contradictions.

  34. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

Joyce … was only an accountant in a regional city.
    Littleproud is much better.

One of yours? A banker? That’s how you judge people?

the ALP have had it all over them for a long time.

From your perspective, perhaps. More rational people might differ. See the Wyndham Dix comment immediately after your drivel.

Stick to teaching apprentice bank tellers how to balance their cash trays, it is about your limit.

  35. Lee says:

The problem the LNP has is they possess little talent. the ALP have had it all over them for a long time.

    The ALP has no talent.

  36. Not Trampis says:

I was saying he was only an accountant never a farmer which made him a fraud.

Wyndham dix is not rational. Misogynic yes but rational no.

By gingo no talent but still easily dominating the LNP frontbench.

  37. Lee says:

By gingo no talent but still easily dominating the LNP frontbench.

    Rubbish!

  38. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

Unfortunately, the Libs, Abbott in particular, were too reluctant to stand up to Gillard and her bullying tactics, specially her screeches of “Mizogeenist”. Wymminses want equality, then they should nor shelter behind their sex. Gillard used hers as a shield for bullying.

But you are (for once) correct. She was talentless.

  39. C.L. says:

Journalists like Laura Tingle have been creating myths about Labor ‘talent’ for a long time.

  40. Not Trampis says:

Abbott would know a lot about bullying. not that it did him or his chief of staff any good. It was readily apparent both were hopeless out of their depth when they were in government.
Which minister dominated their ALP counterpart? It simply didn’t occur.

As for LNP talent they now have voldemort for Leader and who will be the Treasury spokesman. they are simply bereft of talent. always were that is why they were so hopeless in government.

  41. Lee says:

As for LNP talent they now have voldemort for Leader

    You really are vile.
Insulting someone because he has disease (skin, in Dutton’s case) or disability.

  42. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

Suuuure, it was only Abbott who was “bullying”. Turdballs was just stabbing him in the back, much more “noble” conduct in your eyes. And as for his misogoneeeee, how dare he look at his watch when Gillard was droning on. That bloke Slipper she selected as speaker was much more of a sensitive new age gent – NOT.

The R-G-R ministries were sooooo talented that they went from a strong win over Howard to minority government in one term, and to a massive defeat in 2013. Clearly that Abbott chap was completely dominated by the Liars ministry.

Are you certain that what you are smoking is a legal substance?

PS, I see that your grammar, sentence construction and punctuation have not improved. You should have tried harder at pre-school.

  43. Ed Case says:

I’m not claiming to be a numerology expert, but back when we were using normal maths we would get this:

    4+1+1+9+4=19

I’m not claiming to believe this crap, but I can use a search engine, and letter “V” actually ends up as number 4 in numerology.

    Thanks.
    Will start again
David= 4+1+4+9+4=22, which is an auspicious number.
    Littleproud still + 53, + 22 + 75+12 =1+2+3.
So his numbers look a lot better.
    Let’s check Barnaby Joyce
    2+1+9+5+1+2+7=27=2+7=9 Three trees.
    Joyce=1+6+7+3+5=22, another auspicious number.
22+9 =31+3+1=4, ordinary number, but the 22 and the 27 are good.
I’d say this bloke isn’t finished yet.

  46. Not Trampis says:

Idiot. voldemort did not have an alleged disease. He look s like him a bit like Rudd looked like the boy in the Milky bar commercials. Like the big V he has a permanent scowl on his face. no-one is that stupid.

Now to the next ignoramus. No-one was talking about the last ALP governments. The LNP only won because they were rightly booted out because they fought too much amongst themselves.

By the wat it was the conservative wing that approached Turnbull to stage a leadership change when they realised Abbott was a lost cause.

Slipper was actually a very good speaker. not quite to the tony smith standard but he wasn’t there long.

  47. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

Your denialism remains as strong as your literacy remains weak.

No-one was talking about the last ALP governments.

If only you could construct a coherent sentence, that might have been clear, but probably not, as you change the grounds of your arguments more often that you change your underpants.

  48. Lee says:

Idiot. voldemort did not have an alleged disease

Idiot, let me put this in clear English which even reading comprehension disadvantaged you might possibly understand.
I never, ever said that Voldemort had a skin disease, I said that Peter Dutton has a skin disease.
BTW, your continued calling of Dutton as “Voldemort” is clearly meant as an insult.

  49. Boambee John says:

    Lee

BTW, your continued calling of Dutton as “Voldemort” is clearly meant as an insult.

And this has about the same (non-existent) impact as his perpetual use of the weak as dishwater insult left over from the 2016 Shrillary campaign, “deplorable”.
