Devout Catholic Perrottet expands the Goo-ga Archipelago

Motherhood as enemy of The Economy: $1.4 billion for NSW preschool fee relief.

Parents of preschoolers will save thousands in childcare fees as part of a $1.4 billion package to be included in next week’s NSW budget.

Premier Dominic Perrottet has already flagged that a major focus of Tuesday’s budget will be about removing barriers for women that stop them fully participating in the workforce.

The latest family-friendly budget reveal outlined a plan to invest $1.4 billion over four years to subsidise fees for parents using public and private preschools…

For the first time, parents with children in long daycare will be included in state childcare subsidies, with up to $2000 a year available in fee relief for four and five-year-olds…

A two-year pilot program will invest $64.1 million to support more three-year-olds attending preschool in long day care.

    Fantastic!

More trans kids than ever before.

There will be a definite uptick.

Lucky you called him Catholic and not a Follower of Jesus’ Love.

  3. A reader says:

It’s so silly because the price of childcare keeps going up to match the latest government grant. Take away the government subsidies and watch the prices fall

  4. Boambee John says:

It might be friendly to career women, but it definitely is not family friendly.

Where is the government’s magical money tree?

  6. Fat Tony says:

Nothing quite like the State progressing along the road to the compulsory acquisition of all kids from age 2 – 3. The Socialist dream.

    NY Times, 1974:

In Soviet Union, Day Care Is the Norm

By Hedrick Smith Special to The New York Times
    Dec. 17, 1974

KIEV, Soviet Union—Zoya Idenko is the model of the young Soviet mother liberated by a local day care center that permits her to hold a job. With her 3‐year‐old son in a state nursery, she works as a guide for Intourist and sometimes also teaches English at a night school.

Under the highly subsidized Soviet day care system, Mrs. Idenko pays a modest 10.50 rubles ($13.86) per month—about one‐tenth of her pay—for six days a week of child care. She drops h,er boy off at about 8 A.M. and picks him up at 7 P.M. He gets three meals and a snack daily.

Child‐rearing, never had much attraction for Mrs. Idenko.

I went back to work three months after my son was born,” she said. “I could have waited a year legally and still kept my job, but it was difficult for me to bring up the baby and I wanted to get out of the house. My mother‐inlaw lives with us and she took care of him.”

    Broke: Capitalism is Communism’s opposite.
Woke: Communism and Capitalism end at the same thing.

    And the killer punch:

The vast majority of Soviet families require the salary of a working wife to make ends meet. Repeatedly, Soviet citizens express astonishment when they learn that an American father can support a family of two, three or four children without his wife’s working. Many are also surprised that American women would willingly have more than one child.

Soviet Union 2.0, you’re living in it.

‘A game-changer’: NSW to introduce an extra year of education

NSW and Victoria are acting in tandem on the policy, in another joint move from the two states. “We begin today by planting the seeds, knowing the benefits won’t be known for years to come. But knowing they’ll be shared by everyone,” Perrottet and Victorian Premier Dan Andrews said in a joint statement.

Mitchell said pre-kindergarten would not be compulsory, though the government might reconsider that if take-up was low.

And there it is, the neo-aristocracies well trod two step threat system: we won’t make it compulsory to hand over your children to us / take the drug we say you must / give up your cars, your society and life, partake in murder of babies and old people, and generally debase yourself….unless you don’t do it. Then we will.

It’s always astonished me that “conservatives”, so called (anything but), haven’t taken up the fight against the Soviet copied daycare “system” with any interest at all.

It’s literally more important that carbon”taxes” or almost anything else. But like retards the “fight” is whether you pay 31.5% tax or 31.9% and three year olds are abandoned for eight hours a day into a system literally lifted wholesale from the one of the major planks of Bolshevik’s platform.

  10. Buccaneer says:

Perrottet has not worked out that the message from the Morrison loss is that if you let the bureaucracy roam free, people will vote you out.

Nah, he and the “liberals” are playing a completely different game than you think they are:

NSW and Victoria are acting in tandem on the policy, in another joint move from the two states.

It’s not Perrott vs the “left” or any such nonsense anymore. It’s the global international classes (the laptop classes) Vs everyone else. And they have a vision, and a plan for a new system and they’re implementing it together.

  12. NoFixedAddress says:

What is the difference between Liberal and Labor?

They merely take it in turns to match ‘the mood’ of the electorate.

  13. C.L. says:

Don’t hold your breath waiting for the ‘Christian’ anti-Russia blowhards of the op-eds – the ones who have been raving on about ‘Western values’ – to campaign against the Uniparty’s decision to Sovietize motherhood.

There’s a bit of commentary doing the rounds now (Ray Hadley, for example) that Dominic Perrottet is the ‘conservative’ choice over against wannabe Matt Kean. The two are, of course, indistinguishable.

This – and it’s been like this for a very long time.

  15. twostix says:

Soviet countries create nasty, vicious societies that hate their children.

Australia 2022, or Soviet Russia 1974?

Another mother, with three children, said she objected to extensive indoctrination in state nurseries and kindergartens

others said they disltked having children raised so much of the time by people outside of the family during the early, formative years.

these women conceded that their concerns were those of a tiny minority of educated, middle‐class in tellectuals.

    The black pill:

“The great majority of working class women,” observed a woman lawyer, “are delighted to have nurseries and kindergartens. “

  16. C.L. says:

If you can stand hearing his voice for a few minutes, here’s Perrotet making the announcement. Note the repeated use of the words “revolution” and “revolutionary.” Note too the happy man standing behind him.

He then hands over to the education minister Sarah Mitchell who argues that children have to be institutionally educated from babyhood onward to cope. That’s code for, children have to be institutionally educated from babyhood onward if women are ever to have ‘careers’.

  17. twostix says:

Imagine having seven children with the view to immediately handing them over to the state to “raise” from toddler onwards.

    That’s a whole new level.

Sarah Mitchell, I wrote about before on old catallaxy. As she was prancing around as a politician with an unbroken career in dole bludging since she left school, who raised her two children she left behind in Gunnedah? Suffice to say there is something exceedingly weird about a “mother” popping out babies, then literally months later leaving her children behind and spending her days touring daycares and taking thousands of photo ops with other people’s children.

  18. twostix says:

It’s all just so fucking weird man.

  19. Old Lefty says:

Being a married heterosexual full-time mother these days is just about the one thing that counts as a deviant pervert lifestyle that has to be stamped out by all possible means.

The Soviet Socialist Toilet of Yarragrad will probably take the lead. These deviant perverts will have their disgusting prolespawn confiscated by the state and will be forced into a reeducation program led by Fiona Patten and Roz Ward involving compulsory service as politically correct ‘sex workers’. If they remain recalcitrant, it will be a choice of retrospective abortion or compulsory euthanasia.

  20. Old Lefty says:

The vicious fiscal discrimination against single-income families these days makes tax avoidance on their part not only morally justifiable, but a moral imperative.

The wage earner in a single-income family is taxed as if he or she has nothing else to spend his or her money on than a new set of sequins for the Gay Mardi Gras. Subvert the dominant paradigm!

  21. C.L. says:

Being a married heterosexual full-time mother these days is just about the one thing that counts as a deviant pervert lifestyle that has to be stamped out by all possible means.

    Yep.
