   I can see why US and others might be trying to set up a settlement. I fail to see how Putin’s invasion is in any way a neo-con war.

   Everything about the undermining of Ukraine’s former government by the United States, the secret bankrolling and arming of the new government and the stated end-game of endless war until the achievement of ‘regime change’ is classical neo-con fantasy.

   The war will end in a settlement that amounts to a massive loss for the US. This will be spun as a ‘win’ because Russia didn’t take over the whole country (which it never had any intention of doing).
