Grub: Albanese blames Liberals for unionists abusing children

Conveniently, Australia’s anti-Catholic peanut gallery is not demanding a Royal Commission.

One of the things that we find, frankly, is that we inherit a trillion dollars in debt, we inherit crises in a range of areas because of neglect — in some cases wilful neglect, in other cases just incompetence.”

Asked for a response to revelations that children in government ‘care’ have been sexually assaulted and driven to kill themselves, Anthony “Hasn’t Put a Foot Wrong” Albanese’s first thought was money. His second thought was politics. No comment at all about the children.

March, 2019: Albanese demands Catholics “stop dragging their feet” and “look after the victims.”

kinda wondering where the evidence is that unionists abused children?

He is only just in power give him a bit of time. The Catholic denomination knew about their problems for a long time in 2019. If the year proceeds and there is no action then any criticism will be fair.

  2. C.L. says:

Where is the evidence that all of the employees of state public services who raped or enabled the rape and abuse of children were unionists?

    Stop being an idiot, Homer.

The Catholic denomination knew about their problems for a long time in 2019.

I and many others have been writing about the rampant abuse of children in state ‘care’ – especially Aboriginal children – for at least a decade and a half.

    Wrong again.

  3. Not Trampis says:

evidence CL. not in any of your links. put up the evidence or shut up.

The catholic denomination in 2019 knew that people had been abused by people who held official positions of power in that denomination for a long time.
that had nothing to do with you.
    Wrong again.

Trying to put Albo in that exact position is well silly.

The Liars should have been well aware for many years of the problems affecting public organisations. After all, some of their prominent members have been convicted of related offences. If Gilliard had been honest with her anti-Abbott Royal Commission, these issues could have been properly addressed a decade ago.

Like your lot gave Tony Abbott when he became PM?

evidence CL. not in any of your links. put up the evidence or shut up.

Says a hypocrite who never gives “evidence” or links himself.

  6. Old Lefty says:

Justice Wood in the 1990s found that the NSW education department had been covering up for abusers from the public sector teachers’ unions for decades: a finding McClellan and co, like the ABC and Fairfax, were desperately keen to flush down the memory hole.

When a Teachers Federation member started to become too tiresome, the bureaucrats of Bridge Street would resort to the final solution: export him, usually to non- government schools, with a misleading clean statement of service and glowing references.

Don’t take my word for any of this: go and look it up in the Wood royal commission website.

I wonder how many of the abusive teachers in private schools, whose activities Their ABC and Fauxfax were keen to publicise, came to be employed there after such a process, not just in NSW, but also in other states and territories?

A major study in the US (by NBC, IIRC) found that most sexual abuse in schools in America (yes, proportionately) occurred in state schools but perpetrators were almost always protected by the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers.
