    As is often the case, Trump is spot-on with his prognostication or assessment.
    Hopefully, in 2024, he (if not DeSantis) will replace the hopelessly inept and divisive Biden, worst U.S. president since the 1870s.

    Unlike Australia, in America you only get 2 goes at being dictator.

    DeSantis is only middish 40 year old and far more helpful to America, and the world, just being Governor of Florida,

    He is setting a standard that the entire world can compare their rulers against!

    I have no doubt he should finish his life as whatever number USA President but he is kicking goals right now.

    I would doubt very much that there is any competition between Trump and DeSantis.

    The politics are blackly amusing. That’s because the lefty government in power doesn’t want to fight the Russians at all, rather they quite like the Russians. I suspect that’s because of past history of the SPD and their allegiances.

    Their problem is their lefty base wants them to DO SOMETHING to fight the Russians. (It’s also blackly comedic that lefty peaceniks are now a bunch of warmongers.)

    So first the SPD/Greens coalition tried the wheeze of sending 5000 helmets. That didn’t shush the squawking. Then they sent Ukraine a bunch of literally mouldy old East German missiles that didn’t work. And meanwhile blocked other countries from sending stuff Germany had manufactured. After this the pressure got so much they finally gave in and sent some artillery.

    Then of course as you mention they’re suffering because they tied their economy to Russian gas for Gaia, and are wedged wickedly because the far left want the gas to stop because it causes emission of da ebil CO2. But if they do that German industry dies and so does the grid. Meanwhile they’re still shutting down their nuke plants…

    Germans go bonkers once a century like clockwork. Looks like they’re about on schedule for the latest episode.

    I’d prefer a blind, mute. but politically astute donkey to an intelligent, articulate leftist like Obama (not that he was all that intelligent), or something considerably lesser. I like Biden being outrageously dumb.
