For those unfamiliar with the legend of Babe Ruth and the called shot.

    Welcome to federalism, America.

  4. Passing By says:

Interesting that those judges denied this when asked ahead of their appointment.

I appreciate, and like, the Babe Ruth connection but I more think of it as the dark skinned American who shoved it up the left and right nostrils of the then leading scum at the 1936 Olympic Games.

And he was an attendee at an Ohio University!

This bloke has always been a hero to me.

So we must fly a rebel flag,
    As others did before us,
And we must sing a rebel song
    And join in rebel chorus.
We’ll make the tyrants feel the sting
    O’ those that they would throttle;
They needn’t say the fault is ours,
If blood should stain the wattle.

I am not concerned about roe V Wade except for the lying by the prospective Justices before the Senate committee. I am concerned in their decisions that will mean a most probable innocent man to die on death row, limiting voter entitlement, gun reggualtion etc.
The Supreme court is held in quite low esteem. It will now go lower and given it is THE most important institution it is not good for democracy.
If the Justices were conservatives they would understand this.

  8. NoFixedAddress says:

You truly live in a tangled environment don’t you nt.

What sheep dip do you use?

This has to be the most ironic comment ever published here.

I am not concerned about roe V Wade except for the lying by the prospective Justices before the Senate committee.

Please link to the exact statements when the justices swore that they would not revoke Roe. Nuanced statements are much more likely than the directness you suggest.

The Supreme Court has been held in quite low esteem for some time. That “commentators” could routinely predict the attitude of the “liberal” justices to particular cases before any evidence was even considered contributed greatly to that reality.

Says the pre-school failure who cannot even punctuate a four word sentence! Irony indeed.

Says the pre-school failure who cannot even punctuate a four word sentence! Irony indeed.

His failures in punctuation often lead to indecipherable and incomprehensible sentences or paragraphs, and in some cases the lack of punctuation puts an entirely different interpretation on what was intended!

Non Mentis has absolutely no idea of the power of a comma. Its presence or absence can alter the meaning of a sentence completely. This is the result of telling ill-educated fools that they are “winners at everything”.

  15. Lee says:

John, a classic example of NT’s lack of punctuation was last week when NT wrote by way of excusing Albo for his overseas trips that “he was invited by NATO boofheads” (no comma).
But knowing, NT, what I think he actually meant was “he was invited by NATO, boofheads”, i.e. “we” are supposed to be the “boofheads”, not NATO.

    Lee

Indeed, his illiteracy often makes it difficult to understand his point (if he actually has one).

  17. Lee says:

John, I think his only “point” is on his head!

  18. Buccaneer says:

It made more sense as NATO boofheads ….. I wonder what the collective noun for NATO boofheads might be? Needless to say I bet the Elbow fitted right in…
