   Imagine an entire country willing themselves out of existence. “Oh well, maybe we can just scrape in an invasion of Taiwan before they outnumber us”.

   I think Chinese babies are quite cute but then my opinion is irrelevant compared to the Chinese people who apparently don’t like their own babies.

   Already outnumbered by India and headed towards half population in less than half a century. Oh well, they ARE going green there is that.

   The “One child” policy dates back around 40 years. Even when it was eased recently, there was no real change in the birth rate. Like western so-called “progressives”, the Chinese have got out of the large family habit.

   Also, with many families having only one child and one grandchild, the “Little Emperors” are seen as precious. An invasion of Taiwan killing lots of them, and mutilating many others, will give rise to “challenging” political times in China, particularly if it fails.
