An excellent piece by Fr Brennan.
Just like their political masters in Viktoriastan, VikPlod is beyond redemption as even sunlight doesn’t seem to disinfect their malfeasances.
It’s a subject I never raise with my good friend, an exemplary copper of 40+ years with VikPlod.
Outside of Chyna I am fairly certain that Diktater Dan in Victoria was the first WEF graduate/trainee to have used the “Police” against his own people.
To the extent that the apology by vicpol is an apology for the ‘hurt and embarrassment suffered by Mr Avi Yemeni’, the apology is not an apology.
Vicpol cannot apologise on behalf of Avi Yemeni for his experience of having suffered ‘hurt’, or ‘embarrassment’.
The suffering of hurt and embarrassment experienced by Avi Yemeni were not the the offence in need of an apology – they were the consequences of actual offences committed by vicpol.
In other words, the ‘apology’ is inauthentic since, although admitting they acted ‘wrongly’, vicpol do not, in fact, apologise for their having acted wrongly – indeed wrongfully – but only apologise for Avi Yemeni’s experience.
As far as I can tell with my circle of friends and acquaintances, vicpol have destroyed public trust with their actions over the last couple of years. Trust being something easy to lose and very hard to regain, I’d expect the repercussions to last a generation or more.
On 3AW this morning, Sly Sylvester said Roberts had asked for a deal in return for implicating Debs in prior armed robberies, but the offer was declined by the police.
As far as I can recall, the press has only mentioned that Debs had claimed Roberts was involved in all of them.
Maybe I missed it, but Sylvester’s words can often mean more than they say.
On 3AW this morning, Sly Sylvester said Roberts had asked for a deal in return for implicating Debs in prior armed robberies, but the offer was declined by the police.
How credible is that?
A deal over the Armed Robberies, yeah, not a deal over the Murders.
Otherwise, why didn’t the Prosecution raise it at either of the Trials?
The reality is that all they ever had on Jase was Debs’s word.
And as for the latest Get Pell legal manoeuvres, see Keith Windschuttle’s The Persecution of George Pell on the personality and interests of the person concerned – who, of course, cannot be named.
Yes, Old Lefty, and isn’t the timing interesting re the latest Get Pell manoeuvres – the week stories on Jason Roberts case and Vic Pol were on the front pages!
The poor fellow’s claim is for “nervous shock.”
It’s a bad law suit that doesn’t name the correct respondent.
Or just send the bill to Victoria Police.
CL, a news reporter tonight said he was also suing for: loss of income, medical expenses, anxiety, depression, chronic adjustment disorder, bereavement disorder.
Mmkay. What has any of that got to do with George Pell or the Catholic Church?
Weird legal advice. He might actually have a case if he sued the Victorian government for rigging the prosecution.
The Shine Lawyer provided advice to Parliamentary Committee of National Redress Scheme May 2020 – “Shine Lawyers told the Committee that they provide advice to
individuals on each case as to which option may be better, noting that a
majority of people seeking legal advice end up deciding to undertake a civil
claim rather than an NRS application”.. Isn’t it the case that after the RC redacted findings were released, the living choirboy’s lawyer was on ABC radio saying this would help civil claims progress through the courts?
I want them and their ultimate “boss” burnt in hell.
on their ABC at 7
It’s a very good Quadrant piece by Fr Brennan.

Avi may be considering the fate of Aussie Cossack and doesn’t want to head down that path.

Look at the growing list now.

I certainly appreciate Brennan’s article but it is badly presented and muddled, lacking the coherence of a properly written essay on the subject.
Good to see Fr Brennan not letting go go of that bone.
Indeed. Thank you, Father.

Frank Brennan now writing for Quadrant! His excommunication with bell, book and candle from the leftist luvvie media is now complete.

CL – he’s represented by the vocal lawyer at Shine.
But she and a key VicPol detective in the case sat together at the High Court!
