I am amazed how long it has taken for inflation to flow through to us.

  2. Buccaneer says:

Didn’t you know, it’s all the Russians fault…

  3. Not Trampis says:

yeah just let a war criminal take over a country.

  4. Buccaneer says:

One might have thought that folks who believe government is that answer to all problems would accept responsibility when their solutions to those problems don’t work. But no, its all the Russians fault.

  5. C.L. says:

yeah just let a war criminal take over a country.

Countries that deploy Nazis to ethnically cleanse entire regions on Russia’s doorstep have pretty much sealed their own fate.

Ukraine is sustaining 20,000 casualties a month. Its people are now being asked to die for Joe Biden’s election prospects, basically. Reports this week of citizens being hunted down by police to be press-ganged into service indicate the charade is falling apart. I also suspect that Ukrainian officials have already begun diverting donated billions into their own accounts. That’s what they do best.

Creepy Joe is a war criminal? Details please.

  7. C.L. says:

The epic, historical imbecility of these money-laundering dropkicks in Ukraine will eventually be written up in the annals alongside Napoleon’s bright idea of a winter invasion. They’re a stone’s throw from Russia and they spend seven years harassing and killing ethnic Russians. Guess what happens next…

  8. Not Trampis says:

It take goebbels like truthness to say countries that help a country defend itself from another country who invaded them are war mongers.

wow ethnic cleansing areas defended by Russian forces and resources. That is a mighty effort. so these people can shoot a civilian airliner down but can do nothing otherwise.

you are drinking Putin’s koolaid yet again.

Strange how CL can bring himself to say anything about russian’s war crimes which we say occur against their own countrymen, against Georgians and then against Syrians and now against Ukrainians. Well not really

  9. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis is becoming hysterical.

  10. Tel says:

    Russian war crimes in Syria?

Seems that Homer now regards ISIS head-choppers as the good guys … maybe not the best position to be lecturing others on morality there. But throwing out some ideas … do you think perhaps that if the USA had not supplied weapons to those mostly-peaceful terrorists trying to overthrow the government of Syria, then overall less death and destruction would have been the result. It’s one of those cause and effect things really. Not saying Assad is a great guy, but go and put forward your alternative ISIS head-chopper takeover scenario, and Assad starts looking better in comparison. Putin and Assad did at least protect the levantine Christians … who would have been left as a mountain of skulls without that protection.

Realism! Give it a try sometime.

  11. C.L. says:

Was Saddam Hussein a war criminal, Trampo?

Because, if memory serves correctly – spoiler alert: it does – you spent years criticising his removal from power.

    Why?

  12. Not Trampis says:

Tel you are a goose as usual.
do you think that in hospitals or schools destroyed by Russians in Syria they were all ISIS people. you do know Assad killed more Syrians that ISIS. you think ISIS got their weapons from the USA do you.
    your stupidity is never ending.

War criminal means stuff done during war!
He did more than enough to his own people to warrant a trial.
I did not criticise his removal from power but how it was done.
Unlike you I recognised the invasion as illegal and there were never any WMDs in Iraq.
I explicitly said East Germany provided the example to getting rid of hussein.

  13. Tel says:

It’s an honour to be called a goose by someone as brainless and consistently wrong as you … because I know your name calling is equally wrong.

You never heard of ISIS using human shields and holding civilian populations hostage? I suppose you regard those guys as quite decent fighters who abide by Queensbury Rules.

The USA bombed Mosul, in the same way and for exactly the same reason that Russia bombed Aleppo. That’s the reason why it’s a bad move to supply arms to terrorists … it’s known as “blowback”. You haven’t heard of this, because you specialize in knowing nothing.

  14. Buccaneer says:

The fact remains, the Biden admin is so incompetent they not only provoked the Russians into war, it never occurred to them that it might contribute to the inflation they had already triggered. Biden thinks more government is the solution to all problems, except when he is accountable, then it’s events beyond his control. Hard times are coming, mostly because of people like Biden who stand for nothing other than their own glory and power.

  15. twostix says:

I love that all roads marked neocon lead back to supporting ISIS.

Defend Ukraine’s war on Donbass started by the neocon organised violent coup in 2014 overthrowing the elected government….end with mumbling something about how ISIS (created, funded and trained by the neocons in Libya at the same time) were, you know, kind of the good guys.

  16. C.L. says:

Was Franklin Roosevelt a war criminal?

Because I’m pretty sure the 120,000 women and children of Tokyo he incinerated weren’t members of ISIS.

  17. Tel says:

I explicitly said East Germany provided the example to getting rid of hussein.

There’s no discussion of East Germany up above, nor anything recent on this blog. If you once talked about it long ago to someone in a coffee shop or at the bus stop, then please understand that other people can’t see inside your imagination … as if anyone would want to.

I doubt it has any relevance anyhow … because Saddam Hussein was in Iraq, and the discussion was about Syria. They are different countries don’t you know? Hussein was kicked out in 2003, and dead by 2006 … but the bombing of Mosul happened a decade later. Dunno why you keep bringing up random, irrelevant crap but lame attempts at distraction will fail every time.

  18. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

I explicitly said East Germany provided the example to getting rid of hussein.

This is both ignorant and stupid.

The collapse of communist governments in eastern Europe came about largely because their secret police forces had lost confidence in their formerly protected status, and knew that they could no longer get away with murder.

This process became obvious when the Polish secret police who tortured and murdered Fr Popieluszko were put on trial for his murder. All the non-Soviet secret police forces got the message, and would no longer freely commit murder to defend their clearly illegitimate governments. The evidence that Saddam’s secret police had ended up in the same position is tenuous at best. Hence, Saddam was not going to be removed on the East German model.

You should have paid more attention in pre-school.

  19. Not Trampis says:

    what complete imbeciles.

Why did the wall come down in east Germany. you might examine germans fleeing to Hungary!!

Tel you are the only dope around here talking about mosul!

Ah the old ISIS had people hiding in every school and hospital and building block bombed. Huge numbers.

When the launched the Atom bomb Roosevelt was in a grave.

  20. Lee says:

When the launched the Atom bomb Roosevelt was in a grave.

C.L. was writing about the earlier firebombing of Tokyo, not the atom-bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

  21. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

When the launched the Atom bomb Roosevelt was in a grave.

Historical ignoramus. CL was referring to the Tokyo fire bomb raid of March 9/10 1945. FDR died a month later. It was the start of a bombing campaign that burned out most of Japan’s major cities, killing many more than died at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

You should have tried harder at pre-school.
