The Unmanly Sea Eagles stand down seven black Christians

THEIR offence? Refusing to wear a special rainbow-striped jersey – the first in NRL history – to show management’s weird support for gay “pride” during Thursday night’s big match against the Sydney Roosters. Ironically, Josh Aloiai, Jason Saab, Josh Schuster, Haumole Olakau’atu, Tolutau Koula, Christian Tuipulotu and Toafofoa Sipley offered to wear the club’s traditional white-hooped strip instead but diversity-fuelled club execs insisted on a uniform. The saddest commentary about this debacle tonight is the Daily Telegraph reporters who broke the story observing that all seven protesters “are deeply religious.” As though non-religious Australian sportsmen would never refuse to endorse homosexuality while playing football. Well, as it happens, most of the latter do indeed go along to get along. You could say they have no pride. As for the seven:

Several replacements for the Magnificent Seven chosen by Manly coach Des Hasler have told him to bugger off, the Telegraph is reporting. They won’t scab.

    Excellent!
Not a rugby fan, but I am anticipating a humiliating backdown from Manly.
Or a much weakened Manly copping an absolute thrashing.

It seems “inclusiveness” and “diversity” are only one-way streets.
It’s the left’s authoritarian way or the highway.

  2. jupes says:

The Manly Sea Eagles Rugby League Club exists to win games of rugby league. This pathetic attempt to appease homos has put that in jeopardy. Heads MUST roll. The board and CEO should resign.

  3. C.L. says:

Yep. That’s a very reasonable call.

  4. Lee says:

It’s very much like the CEO or board of a business putting their woke agenda (even when it really has nothing to do with their core business) ahead of shareholders or investors.

  5. Buccaneer says:

This was front line news at lunch, now it’s been bumped for rather inane headlines on google news and apple news. Abc still has it as top billing on their website. It’s all gone a little pear shaped for the luvvies with more players withdrawing and no clear team for manly post deadline. Will any pollies have the guts to stand up and point out how intolerant it is to coerce someone into supporting a political position at risk of being stood down from their job? Where are the unions?

    Could be the Pirate’s parrot.

The Manly Maggots have 2 choices, LOL

    Forfeit the game; or

Field the clever Manly Maggot Marketing Team!

  8. jupes says:

    From and’s link:

the rainbow flag, the colours of which were chosen to stand for things like healing, spirit, life and harmony

No luv, the colours were chosen to obfuscate the fact that the flag is a celebration of perversion. There is nothing “healing” about sodomy. They take something that is beautiful and innocent and use it to represent something ugly. Classic propaganda.

My tip: Skip the article which is an hysterical anti-Christian / pro-homo rant and go straight to the comments.

They’ll fire the players before they fire the diversity officer responsible.

“I expect to die in bed, my successor will die in prison and his successor will die a martyr in the public square. His successor will pick up the shards of a ruined society and slowly help rebuild civilization, as the church has done so often in human history.”

― Cardinal Francis George, Archbishop of Chicago (1997–2014)

Somehow I don’t think the current Cardinal of Chicago is going to die in prison for standing up to the wokeratti.

I wonder what was the betting spread on the outcome before rainbows and after?

    cui bono from all this?

    Go Roosters. 🙂

Yes, Nos – we may have to interpret the late Cardinal’s words as a true prophecy poetically condensed.

`Fabulous use of that musical score, CL.

  15. Not Trampis says:

Can I just emphasise this was NEVER an argument about inclusivity.
Christians don’t care if homosexuals, adulterers etc play any sport. We can also work with anyone.
Wearing a jersey with the gay pride symbol on it was both advertising and supporting the homosexual community.

    Two completely different points

  16. Bruce of Newcastle says:

    Two completely different points

And? I wouldn’t require a muslim player to wear a jersey with a Christian cross on it. Why would a club then force a Christian player to wear a gay pride jersey?

  17. Buccaneer says:

Ian Roberts on the TV this morning telling the audience that the 7 players misunderstand their religion on this. I wonder what might have happened if he’d told them they didn’t know what it was like to be black? Seems the height of arrogance to tell someone who is religious that you know their religion better than they do. No journalist asking him if he even knows what denomination they belong to or which scripture they follow.

We now know that if you claim to be christian, that bumps you down the intersectionality totem pole to be lower than a white straight male.

A position of (dare I say it) pride for some.

Why, the clubs is obviously run by complete buffoons.

    ‘Ian Roberts on the TV…’

…is an unabashed bigot. No, being “gay” does not absolve one of potentially holding and exhibiting such character flaws.

He has seized an opportunity to demonstrate his inherent intolerance in the “belief” that he is being tolerant.

Like so many (too many) of the pile-on merchants that “platform him”, lost souls attempting to assuage their guilt of being morally vacuous by casting others (anyone will do) in the role of “enemy”.

They create conflict to deflect from reality, not because they are simply terrible human beings, but because they are just so incredibly compassionate, tolerant, and “love” so much.

It is all about them, not the “adopted” group, which is simply a tool; a cudgel for use in battle and to smite their ideological foes whose greatest crime is, and always has been, the temerity to hold their ugliness to a mirror. They despise their own repugnant form and it is ALL YOUR FAULT.

Someone should take the aggrieved aside and quietly point out that it is not what you choose to do in your own bedroom (or preferred “venue”) that is the problem.

Although some may consider what you do to be sinful, which is their prerogative, no one is stopping you, or even wants to stop you, from doing it. Your actions and decisions are yours, it’s on you, and quite frankly, it’s no one else’s business. Moreover, no one REALLY cares about your proclivities all that much, although a pathetic narcissist might think otherwise.

No, what you confuse as “hate” for your sexuality/practices/lifestyle, is actually a palpable disdain for your shameless activism and your inability to not stick your self-important nose into the business of others.

Leave the footy players alone. Let them play footy. Leave them be to their own politics and ideology. The sporting field is not the place for it. Stop bullying them with your own inadequacies and low self-esteem – that is a battle you must fight within yourself. No amount of scapegoating of others will fix those issues for you.

  21. Jannie says:

    Non mentis:

I doubt if any of the players gives two hoots who plays thugby League.

    Thugby League?

You wanna step outside and say that?

  22. Bruce of Newcastle says:

Why, the clubs is obviously run by complete buffoons.

    Yep. GWGB.

Anyone seen Raelene Castle recently? I’m amused that the Rugby Australia wiki has deep sixed her completely.

  23. Bruce of Newcastle says:

Oops, I have it wrong, she is mentioned briefly. But not in the Folau faceplant section, and only in a very low key way.

  24. Buccaneer says:

Thank God, no one wants to deep six Raelene Castle…..

  25. bollux says:

I still don’t know why there is gay “pride”. Exactly what are they proud of?
