There are people who say I’m not the GOAT (greatest of all time) because I didn’t pass Court’s record, which she achieved before the ‘Open era’ began in 1968. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want that record. Obviously I do. But day to day, I’m really not thinking about her.”

Why hasn’t Williams beaten Mrs Court’s record?

It is almost as if she has a mental block to achieve it.

I set a long jump record at a country sports carnival as a 7 year old and I was astounded to learn it was finally broken after 30 years and only because it took so long for some kid to break it.

I was happy for that kid.

All records are made to be broken.

What an ungrateful whining sourpuss.
With all the wonderful tennis records she has achieved, the fantastic amount of cash she has won, and having a loving husband and a healthy child – all Serena can focus on is her bitterness at having the great Margaret Court retain the GOAT title.
Even the listing of issues Serena had to deal with sound like excuses.
Sad. She could have gone into retirement with a personal reputation as honourable as her tennis record.

Olivia NJ lamented her miscarriages and failures to conceive while talking about how much it meant to her to be a mother.
Serena, too, has explained that she has had problems conceiving.
Years of contraception but the poor dills don’t understand that.
