  1. C.L. says:

Approximate time between parody exaggeration and reality is now mere hours:

Switzerland considers JAILING anyone who heats rooms above 19C for up to three years.

  2. Pommy Al says:

This is why we went through everything we did for the past 3 yrs. Transfer of wealth, you will do what we tell you to do,and you won’t have a choice.
The vast majority are sucking it up.
    Absolutely pathetic.

  3. Terry says:

It’s worse I think. There is only one circle on this Venn diagram now.

At the risk of being lazy efficient, I might repeat this from the last thread:

‘These people are barking mad. Utterly insane’

  4. Pommy Al says:

I think you’re right Terry. They are fucking insane.
The problem is they have an agenda, and they are following it to the letter.
    People need to wake up.
    Not much evidence of that.

  5. Petros says:

Hmmmm. Might be warmer in gaol. Wonder how many they can accommodate.

  6. Terry says:

I think you’re right Terry. They are fucking insane.

First they came for CFC’s, then they came for CO2, now they’re coming for Nitrogen.

Next is Oxygen (parody? exaggeration? hyperbole?)

There really isn’t a big leap from room temperature laws to how many breaths you may take.

Creeping Totalitarianism ends in one of two ways: Death, yours or its.

How many Australians will die on the altar of woke before they even realise they’re in a fight for their lives?

If they do (eventually) realise, how many will have the courage to fight back? Or will they just meekly line up for the rail cars, camps, and showers?

A bit like the transition from “conspiracy theory” to reality in recent years.

  8. Lee says:

How’s that “renewable energy” going now?
We’re told that it is so cheap (or “free” – except to the customers), then why are there are energy shortages all over Europe?

  9. Not Trampis says:

Thems the brakes when you rely far too much on fossil fuels.

  10. Terry says:

then why are there energy shortages all over Europe?

Hahaha. I was about to say, “because not enough renewables”, but then as to reinforce CL’s original point…

Approximate time between parody exaggeration and reality is now mere hours

…the NPC meme itself shows up with perfect, unintended, comedic timing (at their expense, as is their way) – only mere hours later – and nails it.

In clown world, we all know that the energy shortage is because we have too much baseload coal, gas, and nuclear. If only we had less it would be more (no, really!)

Nothing can penetrate the determined, belligerent ignorance of the NPC, nor their unhinged quest to enslave or destroy civilisation.

  11. Terry says:

    Thems the brakes

    …yeah, good one.

  12. Boambee John says:

Non Mentis will still be whining about the fossil fuels that provided reliable, continuous, power for half a century as he sits shivering in the light of a candle, chewing on a raw rabbit.

  13. NoFixedAddress says:

    Soviet European Union.

A couple more years and they will be in full bloody warfare against each other just as they have done for millennia.

    Watch Europe Burn.

  14. Eyrie says:

    Watch Europe Burn.

    e…xcellent.

The west’s political class needs to be torn limb from limb.

  15. and says:

Ursula Von Toffen Foffen is a good friend of Klaus oont Siegfried.

  16. Riversutra says:

Von Der Leyen also proposed a revenue cap on companies that produce electricity with low costs, windfall taxes for oil and gas companies that have made “massive profits”, and liquidity support for energy utility companies to allow them to keep trading and ensure the stability of futures markets.
So, subsidies and extra taxes on companies keeping the lights on. Sounds about normal for these people. Oh, and jail if you turn up the thermostat.
Barking mad? No, just situation normal.

  17. Tel says:

Thems the brakes when you rely far too much on fossil fuels.

Fossil fuels worked brilliantly in Europe for several hundred years … any explanation for what just changed recently?

  18. Buccaneer says:

Confident they have won the culture wars and the climate debate, now for retribution

  19. RogerW says:

Don’t worry, you only have to flatten the curve until the vaccine comes along…

  20. Old Lefty says:

Meanwhile the Australian parliament has just voted to change the laws of physics

  21. Chris M says:

Was Europe better off under the Nazi’s?

  22. Buccaneer says:

In no way am I suggesting this link means current day environmentalists are nazis.

  23. Not Trampis says:

well fossil fuels did not work brilliantly in the early 70s or 80s. some people obviously do not read any history. some of us actually lived through the period..
Please nobody is that stupid they do not know the reason why gas and coal in particular have risen so strongly of late.

Just how did the parliament vote against the law of physics.

  24. Lee says:

    Can’t we just legislate inventions?
It would be so much simpler:

Highlighting the task ahead of the Albanese government in meeting its targets, CSIRO chief executive Larry Marshall said 40 per cent of the technologies needed to reach to net zero were yet to be invented.

The Labor government apparently relies on the CSIRO plan which assumes these inventions can be invented (and in time)

  25. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

Sad to see someone so badly affected by dementia. I lived through the 1970/1980s, and also the 1950/1960s. The causes of power problems then we’re weather (not common) and stroppy unions (much more common).

Try to see past your ideology and face reality.

  26. NoFixedAddress says:

    Eyrie

When I said Watch Europe Burn was a reflection on the desires of The Soviet European Union faggots.

    They want their populations decimated.
