   Australian television presenters covering the Queen’s funeral made an awkward blunder, mistakenly labelling UK Prime Minister Liz Truss as a “minor royal”.

   Channel Nine reporters Peter Overton and Tracy Grimshaw struggled to identify the United Kingdom’s new prime minister and her husband, Hugh O’Leary, while covering the event live overnight on Monday.

   Golly you’d think that not-so-minor journalistic royals like Overton and Grimshaw would recognize a minor royal if they saw one.

   I am actually amazed that the Chinese would attend and be seen as part of the process to honour Queen Elizabeth II.

    Reminds me of the time not long after Rudd became PM. I was in London, watching the quiz show University Challenge. The contestants were shown a series of photos of presidents and prime ministers, including Rudd, to identify. Not one of them had the faintest idea who Rudd was.

    Trudeau is full of himself. Smug and arrogant. His dads gift was my gain with a profession in mining after capital deserted Canada when he levied envy taxes on the miners.

    As for the Chinese. As badly behaved they are I’d prefer decorum. I am no fan of Xi and his gangsters but the Queen was respected around the world. Looks superficially as both sides are engaged in a bit of politics for local consumption. Even Putin who is in a proxy war with GB was very gracious. I’d prefer not see these sorts of shenanigans at a funeral, then again I may be old fashioned with some things…
