The ABC on a woman with the same views as John F. Kennedy

Meloni promotes what she calls traditional Christian values. She opposes same-sex marriage and allowing same-sex couples to adopt children, prompting fears her rise to power will roll back gay rights.

“Yes to natural families, no to the LGBT lobby, yes to sexual identity, no to gender ideology, yes to the culture of life, no to the abyss of death,” she said in a speech in June to supporters of the Spanish rightist party Vox.

She has also backed calls for a zero-tolerance policy on illegal migration, wants European Union treaties to be renegotiated, and has promised to change the constitution to elect the Italian president by popular vote.

Critics say Meloni’s extreme views could return the country to the dark days of mid-20th century fascism.

  1. Entropy says:

    Far right is fascist? Unbelievable.

Anyway, as little 10 years ago even Europe’s leadership would be saying the same thing.

  2. Lee says:

Everyone to the right of Stalin is “far-right” these days.
Even JFK (or someone sharing his views) would be regarded as conservative or far-right by the woke, progressive mob at this point in time.

  3. Lee says:

She would also be its first far-right leader since Benito Mussolini.

This from the same crowd always pushing for more women in politics, even in conservative and right-wing parties.
Until they (i.e. those not on the left) actually get into a position of power and influence.

  4. Shy Ted says:

She is right. As in correct.

  5. Mantaray says:

“yes to the culture of life, no to the abyss of death,” she said ‘ , which distills the abyss between normal people and leftists up pretty well….

Anyone who hasn’t seen the following exchange between a classic leftist droog, and the response from the CEO of JP Morgan, I’ll transcribe it rather than linking…..

“Please answer with a simple yes or no, does your bank have a policy against funding new oil and gas products,” Tlaib asked, with JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon up first.

“Absolutely not, and that would be the road to Hell for America,” Dimon replied.

Tlaib erupted following Dimon’s blunt response.

The death worshippers can all F Off!

  6. RacerX says:

Perhaps these progressives should review the fascists & Nazi’s actual policies, they may learn something and it won’t be that their opponents share policies with those regimes.

  7. Buccaneer says:

They called Berlusconi Mussolini too. There are so many articles from the left bemoaning the rise of the extremist right, few quote Meloni or any other target of their ire unless it is to slander them. None reflect on whether the constant hyperbole they have created, means the insults have lost their meaning.

  8. NoFixedAddress says:

Von der Leyen and the EU generally are enemies of humanity.

  9. C.L. says:

She’s the German Fuhrer of Europe. Despicable woman.

  10. NoFixedAddress says:

I featured her back July 29 from a Powerline post.

    Final comments from that post

You can be a fascist or you can be an advocate of free enterprise, but you can’t be both.

This sheds more light on what the European press means by “far right”:

Meloni also has ties with the US far right, having attended the 2022 Conservative Political Action Conference and the National Prayer Breakfast alongside ex-president Donald Trump.

That explains a lot. CPAC, the National Prayer Breakfast and President Trump–how far right can you get?

Not as far as me yet.
