  1. Bruce of Newcastle says:

Perfect tell of where he’s coming from.

I was watching for this. One day is all it took. One.

He’s a Davos clone. The Tory members obviously knew when they voted for Truss instead, despite her LibDem priors.

And Hunt is his Chancellor, he’s wetter than the North Sea.

  2. NFA says:

Shutting down farming because of that ‘noxious nitrogen’ should be next.

  3. Entropy says:

    The system won.

  4. Petros says:

Do they really think that there won’t be pushback at the next election? Seriously deluded.

  5. Not Trampis says:

CL does not understand fracking is what killed truss in the end. After her disastrous fiscal abomination.
Banning fracking is a bi-partisan policy.

The UK’s problem , like all of europe, is they are way too dependent on gas.

The sooner Europe and the Uk get off this depency and onto much cheaper renewables the better off they will be.

The sooner Europe and the Uk get off this depency and onto much cheaper renewables the better off they will be.

If ruinables are “much cheaper”, why do they receive subsidies?

  7. Pommy Al says:

Tramp , as soon as one of your red-green pinkies hits the keyboard you advertise what a brain dead moron you are.
    Cut yourself some slack.
    Have you ever considered self-flagellation?

  8. Boambee John says:

    Pommy Al

Sorry, I misread your last point as another “self” activity.

  9. Not Trampis says:

Because it is a second best solution. the best is to put a price on carbon.

  10. Morsie says:

As a carbon based life form I object to having a price on my head

  11. Boambee John says:

Because it is a second best solution. the best is to put a price on carbon.

So, are you saying that ruinables are “much cheaper” only if they are subsidised, or their competition has its price arbitrarily raised by a “carbon price”? Looks very like deliberate market distortion.

PS, don’t come back with babble about “negative externalities”, ruinables have those also, and their proponents completely ignore them.

  12. NFA says:

Fuck off you communist real Trampis.

    you contribute nothing but bile.

  13. Terry says:

‘…ruinables are “much cheaper” only if they are subsidised…’

Of course they are “cheaper”! Everybody “knows” that!

In much the same way as Penny Wong weighs more than Trampis Maximus, if you give her a couple of hundred kilos of unrecyclable “renewables” refuse to hold, the next time she uses the scales.

Everybody chant: “Trampis is lighter, Trampis is lighter, Trampis is lighter”.

  14. Not Trampis says:

Renewables are cheaper without a subsidy. Why are deplorables so ignorant.
coal fired power is unreliable and thus intermittent, kill s people directly and indirectly and are very expensive.

    Only deplorables ignore markets.
Getting rid of the price on carbon was a criminal act as can be seen now.

both wind towers and solar panels are recycle now.

Stupid, lazy, ignorant and proud of it..

  15. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

Renewables are cheaper without a subsidy.

So why are they subsidised? And why did you babble on about a “carbon tax” earlier?

coal fired power is unreliable and thus intermittent,

So how did we get our electricity on a 24/7/365 basis before ruinables?

Getting rid of the price on carbon was a criminal act as can be seen now.

You said earlier that a subsidy “is a second best solution. the best is to put a price on carbon.” But you now are saying there is no need for a subsidy, so why is there a need for a price on carbon?

both wind towers and solar panels are recycle (sic) now.

Is that why they are usually buried in landfill? How much subsidy does re-cycling them need?

  16. Lee says:

Renewables are cheaper without a subsidy.

    Sure they are.
That’s why power prices are higher now than they have ever been, and rising.

both wind towers and solar panels are recycle now.

    In your dreams.

  17. NFA says:

coal fired power is unreliable and thus intermittent, kill s people directly and indirectly and are very expensive.

    @ real Trampis

    Bullshit!

Give the data on deaths from coal fired power you fucking liar.

  18. Baba says:

Cheer up everyone. Sanctions work and Putin is on the ropes!

  19. Tel says:

At least we can all agree that subsidies should be taken away. Shut down the “Renewable Energy Target” certificate system … the sooner the better … everyone will be better off!

  20. Jannie says:

both wind towers and solar panels are recycle now

    What?
