He could think on his feet and therefore counter the MSM scum. His successors could not. No foot in mouth disease in him.

  2. Eyrie says:

He can FOAD as far as I am concerned. Supercilious little shit.

People we don’t like must die. Seems reasonable. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Howard has always shown a great talent for public speaking and obviously hasn’t lost any of it. I doubt it just comes naturally and suspect he puts a lot of work into each speech before he gets to the podium, but great to see someone speak so eloquently without notes.

It’s also interesting to note he is still a Liberal man first and foremost. That is only natural I suppose, as that’s how he has conducted his life: Labor vs Liberal. However, I wonder how much he has noticed that the Liberals have become an extreme-left party and what does he really think about that? A lot of the blame can be put on Howard himself of course, with his support of Malcolm Turnbull and his implementation of the renewable energy target to appease the Greens. Nevertheless, he was also a policy wonk, and you would think it would hurt him to witness the Liberals delivering so many Green policies, but no, he supports the party regardless.

    Howard spoke well for Reith.

It’s a big club, and I’m not in it.

Whether the West like/d him or not, the advent of Trump has ripped the scab off how political sausages are manufactured.

  7. Petros says:

The advertising industry calls it loyalty beyond reason, Jupes. One would think he would use his clout to improve things but he doesn’t.

  8. Entropy says:

I doubt a lot of modern liberal politicians care what Howard thinks. They probably hate that the country’s people did better under Howard than Turnbull or Morrison.
