I am starting to understand what Vladimir Lenin was banging on about when he said:

No mercy for these enemies of the people, the enemies of the working people! War to the death against the rich and their hangers-on, the bourgeois intellectuals; war on the rogues, the idlers and the rowdies!

Pictures really do speak a thousand words.

  3. NFA says:

And Musk is an actual African-American…

  4. Not Trampis says:

how do you create a small business. destroy a large business.

    He has no idea

  5. Cassie of Sydney says:

    “He has no idea”

Von Trampis, I suspect he has a better idea than you.

  6. calli says:

A business, large or small, must be profitable.

Looks like Musk removed the dead wood and kept the workers. The bottom line will eventually show the truth of the matter.

Speaking of small and large businesses. how are you going with those simple questions about the factual basis of your claims that coal fired power was only reliable because of built in redundancy for an essential service?

What was the level of redundancy when we had reliable, continuous, electricity supply before unreliable, intermittent, weather dependent, solar and wind came onto the scene?

What level of redundancy will be needed for solar (capacity factor around 20%) and wind (capacity factor around 40%) to provide reliable, continuous, electricity supply?

If solar and wind are so cheap, why do they still receive subsidies? If coal is so expensive, why is a price on carbon necessary to make them uneconomical in comparison to solar and wind?

What effect will thousands of kilometres of additional transmission lines at an estimated cost of some $80 billion have on the price of solar and wind generation?

Simple questions, I am astonished that an “eggspurt” on the subject, as you imply that you are, has not been able to respond to them by now.

    He has no idea

Musk has far more of an “idea” than you.
He is a billionaire many times over.
    You?
    LOL.

  9. Lee says:

    That figures.

The first photo is emblematic of why I think western civilisation is in deep crisis.

  11. Bruce of Newcastle says:

    He has no idea

He’s launching more rockets each year than the US, EU, China and Russia are combined. And he has the most successful EV company on the planet, much as I dislike EVs.

Ninety percent of Twitter employees were drones, that’s pretty clear.

  12. Rightwingnutjob says:

Lee: I think you’ll find that Musk himself tweeted something to the effect: “how do build a small fortune? take a large fortune and buy Twitter.”

  13. Lee says:

RWNJ, my point about Trampis still holds.

  14. Not Trampis says:

Bruce launching rockets is not twitter not that he is making money in that venture.

Telsa which looks way overvalued is not twitter. his sackings have shown he has no idea.
It is probably why he wanted to get out of the deal but was forced to continue.

  15. NFA says:

    @ real Trampis

We are so fortunate to have such luminaries of the communist socialist alliance to correct our thinking.

  16. Boambee John says:

    NFA

If only he could provide some actual data to support his many assertions, particularly those about electricity generation.

    DATA!

@ real Trampis, communist socialist alliance farquwit, don’t need no “steenkin” data.

    It’s the ‘feelz’ man.

Or change the name of your listed company from Facebook to Meta Platforms Inc

    NFA

I have asked Non Mentis the same questions multiple times on various threads. He has never answered any of them. He might have some actual data, but it almost certainly does not support his hysterical assertions, hence his silence.

More likely, he has never looked for the data, for fear of finding out the depths of his stupidity and ignorance.

  20. NFA says:

    Boambee John

I have seen your questions to the communist socialist alliance shill but like all good fascists ‘it’ has no answer to real world questions nor problems.

  21. Lee says:

NFA; always interesting to read Victor Davis Hanson.

    Thanks.

The FTX scam/scandal and its association with the Democrats stink to high heaven.

  22. Buccaneer says:

Hahaha, look at the poor little petal leftists, all bent out of shape by their previous hero Musk no longer toeing the party line. If only he’d get back to approved memes you could love him again. How long did it take for Tesla to make money? How long did it take Facebook?

SBF belled the cat, your world view is a sham.

  23. Entropy says:

I don’t believe Twitter has ever been profitable.
I suspect Musk had a variety of reasons to buy Twitter, maybe making it profitable was one, but he certainly has stated a few other goals along the way. Like allowing a broader range of views. That seems quite prominent as a motivation.

Truth is the petals aren’t upset because he plans to put limits on their speech, but that he plans to allow other people to also express their views.

  24. Not Trampis says:

the major problem here is that deplorables are obviously dole bludgers and have no idea of how businesses work like musk at twitter

  25. Boambee John says:

    Non Mentis

Do you actually have any evidence for any of your many unsupported assertions?

I suppose the subject of evidence never came up before you were expelled from pre-school, as a total and complete failure.
