The deafening silence is a real worry. He should be livid with rage and shouting from the rooftops!
    I despair.

Sounds like he might be a weathervane pollie.

Peter Dutton says the Coalition is undecided about the voice to parliament ahead of the final sitting fortnight of the year and that his focus is on achieving a royal commission into the abuse of Indigenous children in the Northern Territory.

It follows Liberal Party elder statesman John Howard revealing in The Weekend Australian his view that it would be “unwise” and a political mistake for the Liberals and Nationals to offer their MPs a free vote on the constitutional referendum, and Indigenous leaders slamming the former prime minister’s comments as out of touch and uninformed.

Mr Dutton said the matter would be up to the Coalition parties, which would have the discussion about a free vote “at the appropriate time”.

“We’ve laid out a process and that process is for our party room to remain sacrosanct,” the Opposition Leader told Sky News.

Mr Dutton said it was “difficult” for the parties to have the conversation about such issues because “key elements” about the voice were still missing.

    Shirley not:

On Sunday, Opposition Leader Peter Dutton said the Coalition party room would decide its position on the Voice proposal once the federal government explained key elements of the plan.

He said Liberal and Nationals MPs had “very significant reservations” about the Voice. The opposition might opt not to campaign for or against the plan.

If it’s against Australia’s interests, we might not say anything much.

Do you not see an audio player, OSC?

I’ve changed the HTML for the post. Let me know.

    Here it is, failing that.

  6. NFA says:

Who new that Peter Dutton has ‘a Voice’?

I didn’t make my meaning clear; sorry.
I was trying to say that I thought I was going to an in depth, analytical breakdown of Dutton’s policy by a VDH-type of incisive conservative thinker. I got crickets instead. A better analysis than available in most of the Australian press for sure, but I keep doing the same thing with those links at Dover’s to Gillard dancing or the three old ladies i.e. sucked in every time.
My smart-arsery was a significant fail. Will try harder.

    Ahahahaha.
Is Dover stealing my old Gillard vid prank? 🙂

    That was you?
    Bastard.

    Correct.
It’s up to Labor to spell out what it means, not for Dutton to take a guess and end up as Elmer Fudd to Albanese’s Bugs Bunny.
