   I’m afraid that I agree with the theory “they’re coming to get you”.
   The only question is how will the state do that.
   I believe there will be a concerted campaign to demonise farmers, followed by even more draconian measures than currently exist that force highly unnecessary compliance measures on the country community.
   They will simply walk off the land.
   No need for expensive compulsory acquisition.

   They only expelled the Kulaks that spoke out against collectivisation. I don’t believe that murder was the first step.

   I was there three months ago – banners up all through the countryside “No farms, no food”.
