Albanese blames Putin, ScoMo for Labor-made energy disaster

So build ten new coal-fired power stations: ‘Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures’.

“Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. And we know with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, what we’ve seen is a massive increase in global energy prices,” he said.

“And because of Australia not investing in enough of our own energy assets, what we have is a vulnerability to those international price movements, and that’s placing pressure on businesses here but also on households going forward.”

Note that ‘National Cabinet’ is now being used by both parties to collectively dodge political fallout.

When the SA premier suggested nuclear power several days ago, Albo immediately stomped on the idea and metaphorically on him.

Truly we are governed by morons.

This is a form of mental illness.
Not one thing being done to destroy the Australian power grid makes any difference to the temperature or the weather.

Specifically, all ‘climate’ posturing is a kind of psychopathy: these people cannot admit they’re wrong or say sorry; they prefer to destroy everything and then act like re-builders. They don’t care who gets hurt. As lockdown terrorism demonstrated, this mentality extends even to a willingness to kill people.

Yep – and they won’t be able to be voted out…

That article was a tongue bath unlike the media drivel served up since the election. Full of buzzwords, empty statements devoid of substance and short on any facts. In other words straight off the fax from ALP HQ. Sky needs to do better.

Palace”chook” will milk them for as much as she can get. Keen will sell out NSW despite only being no 2. However more projects will be reverted to compliance drilling or cancelled. Glencore was the start, thrre will be more.

Anyway about to gas my way on an A320 for 2 hour flight south so take a jump Albo…

Good point, RD. I liked the link, though, precisely because it has all the bullshit talking points – and the all-important picture of Frowning, Serious Albo.

    Excellent observations.

I usually refrain from saying it but it really is a mass mental derangement.

I was watching Ch 9 this morning and they had Stuart Robert and some sheila from FM radio on as commentators talking about the power rebates and fuel caps. Firstly, if you want to trash your brand and credibility at the same time, then sending Stuart Robert out to speak on your behalf is the quickest and most efficient way of achieving this. Secondly, he thought it probably wouldn’t work but was unable to explain or pinpoint why it wouldn’t.

Then the FM sheila thought it was a wonderful idea and why hadn’t the Coalition done it while they were in power. Apparently the concept that you use your money (tax-payers) to pay yourself a rebate on your bills after the government has clipped the ticket may not be that good an idea, hadn’t occurred to either of them.

At about that time I turned the tv off as it was in mortal danger of being irreparably damaged and the dog was in some fear for its well being too.

    All the best Charles.

Because using the ‘spectra’ of CO2 is gunna kill us all has not moved the euthanasia needle enough, the death cultists are now ‘fixated’ on nitrogen fertilizer and making sure that lack of food production will eliminate.

  10. Not Trampis says:

energy prices rose because of CL’s favourite war criminal invading Ukraine. morrison and his forbears were negligent in not facilitating renewable energy.
Again CL kicks an own goal.

    @ real deplorable Trampis

    I live on Earth.

You seem to live with the fairies at the bottom of the garden.

    Good luck!

  12. Boambee John says:

Non Mentis is too stupid to check and comprehend (he did fail pre-school, after all). If he were capable of checking, he would find that energy prices were well on the way up before the Ukraine stoush started.

But he is too arrogant to do that, just as he is too arrogant to actually provide evidence to support his incorrect assertions about electricity generation.

  13. Bluey says:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t most of the coal fired power stations in Australia committed to long term contracts, and thus not paying the current market price?

  14. NFA says:

When the water stops flowing in cities to flush the sewerage systems then what happens with public health?

    Ah yea… euthanasia.
