Labor fatherhood haters flag revolutionary new war on men

Just another example of this government’s left-wing extremism: Dads ‘cut out’ in changes to law.

A family law adviser to the Howard government says Labor’s proposal to amend the Family Law Act is a radical change that will take Australia back to when mothers were granted primacy in custody battles.

Family law expert Patrick Parkinson, who chaired the body that advised the former Coalition government on its decision to amend the act in 2006, said the exposure draft released on Monday “stripped almost all references which encourage the meaningful involvement of both parents in relation to the child after separation”.

Labor is seeking to abolish the presumption of shared parenting in court disputes and slash the number of factors used by courts when deciding the best parenting arrangements for a child from 15 to six “best interest” considerations as part of a major overhaul of the Family Law Act.

The actuating force in ‘family law’ in most Western jurisdictions today isn’t justice or humaneness but the rinse-and-repeat revenge of spiritually wrecked feminists. It’s also important to remember that the same people delineating the “best interest” of children ban some of them in the care of same-sex couples from having a mother or a father. They are amoral monsters and so, inexorably, is a public lulled by ratcheted gradualism into believing their ideas are normal.

  1. Rafiki says:

Lawyers will be able to tell female clients that they now have a better chance of getting tĺhe kids and support money (which goes to them and is not quarantined for actual support for the kids). Women will come to know this from friends, or advice centres, and be less willing to make informal arrangements (of which there have been many) for shared custody with fathers.

Apart from the misery caused to fathers and kids, one result will be more resort to lawyers, so it’s no surprise that they will back these “reforms”.

  2. Tel says:

When it comes to family law and custody … suddenly they do know what a woman is.

  3. Not Trampis says:

I am interested in when there is a ‘contested’ challenge for whom gets the child and the child has completely separate legal help that this strengthens the mother.

and the government is enacting many of the recommendations from the Law Reform commission’s recommendations of two years ago.

  4. Buccaneer says:

How will they pick when the man in the relationship transitions to a woman? Technically the child will have two mothers, their definition, not mine.

Will it be discriminatory to deny the trans mother?

  5. Not Trampis says:

for petes sake. homsexuals make up lewx than 2% of the population. for marriage make that a lot less. for trans people are they even married but that is all people can talk about.

    Wake up

  6. Buccaneer says:

Convenient, when undermining the rights of men, gender is binary, otherwise be on notice, if you use the wrong pronoun, you’re a criminal.

Yet homosexuals seem to exercise extraordinary political and social power. Is this because they are all geniuses, or because they seek and obtain a disproportionate share of positions in the media and other arms of so-called “progressive” politics?

  8. Perplexed of Brisbane says:

Fortunately, I have never been in this position but I know kids aren’t stupid. They can work out when the wool is being pulled over their eyes. They will realise as they get older that there are two sides to the story and that the one side they have been getting is not entirely the truth.

That has to be a risky ploy in the long-term for a mother. She may end up losing her kids for the rest of her life when they find out she was just being a bitch.

I don’t know. Maybe that doesn’t happen. Maybe the brainwashing works too well?
