    Archimedes is credited with creating some kind of death ray, perhaps with mirrors and some clever uses of greek fire though, and some of his inventions and tactics might have survived to the fall of the Byzantines. Interestingly, the Byzantines fell through the treachery of the Crusaders… make of that what you will..

    I’m not expecting these subs to be quite so utilitarian.
