    Yet playing under a national flag is plainly a political comment and of itself is a universal mark of respect for the idea of nationhood – meaning that it is not the ‘political’ per se which is the problem but the abuse of the political, as when TA in an act of political bias and injustice denied certain players their right to nationhood by replacing the players’ national flags with white flags of surrender,
