  1. Davey Boy says:

and meanwhile, another Australian citizen (this one, an elderly peace advocate) is currently imprisoned in Vietnam, having been found guilty there of “terrorism”.

Never mind that even the UN says that is bogus and has demanded his release.

Requests to local MPs for advocacy on his behalf have invariably fallen on deaf ears. So much for Australian governments and their support for citizens. They don’t give a tinkers cuss.

  2. C.L. says:

Davey, Chau Van Kham is the “detained Aussie” mentioned in my first link.

I’m contrasting Mr Albanese’s advocacy on his behalf to the government’s disgraceful abuse of Daniel Duggan at the behest of the US State Department.

Regarding Mr Kham, I wish him a speedy return to his family but I’m not sure why he thought it was a good idea to go back to Vietnam.

  3. NFA says:

Where are all of Australia’s much vaunted ‘Human Rights’ lawyers lining up and clamoring for Dan Duggan?

Bunch of legal shills it would seem.

  4. Franx says:

Where are all of Australia’s much vaunted ‘Human Rights’ lawyers lining up and clamoring for Dan Duggan?

They are still in the same hidey hole to which they fled in fear of facing up to and challenging the covid tyranny. Must be filthy by now.
