  1. Mantaray says:

As has been noted on many a US bumper-sticker: Far Right means Taxpayer. Far Right means any productive member of the workforce.

All over Europe Taxpayers who are productive members of the workforce are Far Right. Great.

BTW: Any public teat sucker having “tax” deducted from their teat-sucked income is not paying tax at all. They are no different….no different at all… to someone finding an old-style pay-packet on the street with cash stuffed in it who says “geez, this is awful. It shows on the front that I’ve lost $400 of my dough in tax.”

  2. NFA says:

False Guardian weeping and lamentations as each of those countries are members of the EU communist dictatorship.

You only have to look at what Brexit didn’t and couldn’t do in Britain.

  3. Baba says:

The Lefts’ labelling of anyone who prefers traditional values as far right is nothing more than a cynical cover for their own wholehearted embrace of fascism.

  4. Rohan says:

They didn’t bring up Hungary. The first “Far Right” bastion in the EU this century. Standards are slipping at the Guardian.

  5. Buccaneer says:

The Guardian has to be the ironic name for a publication in the history of news media. They’ve been on the wrong side of pretty much every issue since they supported the trans Atlantic slave trade.

  6. Entropy says:

    The policy cycle
    The proverbial worms turns
    an endless political cycle.

Trouble is, it is actually a ratchet, not a cycle. And the only path is to an inevitable collapse under society’s parasitic mass. How can we build a foundation to get through the next dark ages?

  7. Fat Tony says:

How can we build a foundation to get through the next dark ages?

On the skulls of those who sought to destroy our Civilisation.

  8. NFA says:

I’ll pay that one, Fat Tony!

  9. Cassie of Sydney says:

The Polish PM ha released a video comparing what’s happening in France to Poland.

We know why Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia don’t have the problems that France has.

  10. cuckoo says:

How long did the photographer have to wait to get Giorgia making that ‘fascist’ salute?

  11. Boambee John says:

    Cuckoo

There is a similar photo around of Gillard in Darwin giving one years ago, but using the correct, that is the right, hand.

A patient photographer can usually get one.

  12. struth says:

It’s only far right when viewed from the far left.

It’s only far right when viewed from the far left.

To rephrase this because I agree. It’s only far right when you pretend the far left is in fact the centre and mainstream.

  14. Bruce of Newcastle says:

The photo editor must’ve waded through a thousand photos of Ms Meloni to find just the right one to use. Typical.

  15. Ed Case says:

Meloni wearing a Kabala bracelet on her left wrist.
While welcom ing Sub Saharan Africans by the boatload.

I’m thinkin’ not a Right Winger.

  16. Lee says:

Everyone who holds views that were mainstream only a few years ago (e.g. that children should never be sexualised or exposed to porn or predatory groomers), or is to the right of Mao, is now “far-right.”

  17. Buccaneer says:

Kabbalah bracelets are red and usually a single string, but don’t let accuracy get in the way of a good story.

And Meloni has successfully won her negotiations with the EU on migration, one suspects the first of many battles.
