    So it’s expected that many higher education students will fail more than half their subjects.

    I was curious so I looked at a story about this report to see who it came from. My impression is it’s from the universities, who say that everyone couth and nice has to study at universities by 2050, and that funding has to be increased for the universities who wrote the report to suitably educate all these people. Seemed more than slightly incestuous.

    I wonder what percentage of my brothers and sisters are finishing high school? How does this compare with the rest of Australia? Finally how many of this cohort then apply for higher education?
    Surely only a voice can fix this obvious racist policy of excluding Murri people from the right to a university education.

    So we have to bring in 400,000 people because we don’t have enough skilled tradies etc.
    I wonder why more kids aren’t going where the real jobs and money are?
    Is it better to put as many as possible thru the Progressive/Socialist/Green Uni system so they “think right”?
    Seems to me , all that’ll happen is more people who should never have been let into a Uni will just end up with a HECS debt.
    If they don’t lose their funding but fail more than 50%, do they ever have to actually pass their degree or do they just get a Participation Award like they did all thru school?

    Can’t get into the paywall Ted, but I’m assuming-
    1- Kiesha is as white as her name (that’s my anti-white trash racism)
    2- she’s a proud Ipso Facto wimmin from a proud line of proud Ipso Facto wimminses (that’s my anti-Feminazi chauvinism)
    3- she’s had Affirmative Action all the way from year 3 (that’s my anti-Affirmative Action racism)
    4- and this is an outlier- her Dad wasn’t at her graduation? (ok I’ll admit that’s racism all the way through)

    It’s pretty much already almost impossible to evict a failing student from a uni course if they meet one of the favored left shibboleths of affirmative action criteria already. So much so that even overseas student know that if they claim a disability or to be from the rainbow collective or to have a mental health problem, they can continuously claim dispensation from the actual requirements for passing the course. Even if having said condition or situation were expressly in conflict with the actual requirements for executing the job the degree was intended to support.
