  1. Christine says:

I’m recalling how this individual once left Sydney in a noisy huff; stormed off declaring he’d never again set foot on the soil.
He’d be one of the worst windbags in the country.

  2. NFA says:

His ‘pic’ looks like he’s dressed in a Mao suit!

  3. Megan says:

Well, he falls clearly into camps 3 and 4 and as a supporter of the InVoice finds himself well and truly into camp 2.

That only leaves camp 1. Where like it or not a great many Non-Duttonistas would like to see the current PM escorted from the building with extreme prejudice.

The fact that this excreble excuse for a human being believes he is both a writer and a clever dick demonstrates the unplumbed depths of his delusions. Deep enough to drown Noah.

  4. Cassie of Sydney says:

An utterly repugnant person, sacked from the SMH due to his vile anti-Semitism, who once sent a tweet asking why no one will strangle Nicolle Flint.

Next time he’s seen exposing himself on Whale Beach, somebody should call the cops and see that he’s arrested.

  5. NFA says:

    It’s In The Air

    Beard Removed

  6. and says:

The “yes” camp is really turning up the charm.

  7. Buccaneer says:

Mike Ropenis, really should stop scaring the poor folk of Whale Beach

  8. Lee says:

Arguably the most repellent person in Australia, despite very stiff competition, especially from a number of Green politicians.

Last I heard, Pete FitzSimian (and probably Lisa W.) was a great mate of his.

    Figures.

  9. Memoryvault says:

The Referendum is actually a brilliant move.

A YES vote transfers power to alter the Constitution from the people to the executive govt -that is, the PM and the Cabinet ministers.

A NO vote sets the precedent of holding referendums without the people actually knowing exactly what the intended changes will be.

Either way it has SFA to do with aboriginals or their welfare.

  10. and says:

If you vote “no”, Spike Carlton will be cranky.

    What’s not to like?

  11. calli says:

    Magic Mike has convinced me.

    A firm “No” it is.

As an aside, it’s also a “no” to grotty old men parading their junk on family beaches. He must think it’s his private fiefdom.

  12. Shy Ted says:

Posted 10.23am. As Gerard would say, gin and tonic time.

  13. Tel says:

    Mike drop.

  14. Perplexed of Brisbane says:

All I know is that I am taking a pen to the ballot box to record my vote.

And maybe write a comment on the back.

  15. struth says:

The Yes voters fall into one camp.

    Racist traitors.

  16. Buccaneer says:

And maybe write a comment on the back.

That will likely make it an informal vote.

  17. Bruce of Newcastle says:

    Sir Air Hellair

Nothing like the feeling of a gentle breeze on one’s balls.

Mike Carlton lets it ALL hang out on public beach (Daily Terror, 5 Aug, paywalled)

Residents of a Sydney beachside suburb say media commentator Mike Carlton regularly swims his morning laps stark naked.

Or maybe the flow of water. Freedom!

(Sorry, OT, but I couldn’t resist rising to the occasion.)

  18. Rosie says:

No point in writing comments, only the counters and scrutineers read them, and they don’t care, unless it’s sufficient to invalidate the vote.
They don’t collate all the bible verses, rude words and drawings and sent them back to the powers that be.

Thanks Buccaneer. I shall keep my thoughts to myself on polling day!

  20. vlad redux says:

I shall keep my thoughts to myself on polling day!

You’ll get to express one thought loud and clear with a formal vote!

  21. NFA says:

    Someone said, sometime,

I don’t care who votes because I control who counts the votes.

    Democracy, good and hard.
